The Wrestling Thread Has More Hype Than WrestleMania XXIX - Part 91

People are more interested about getting on tv than watching what's happening in the ring. :hehe:

Wrestlemania is less than 2 weeks away, it sure doesn't feel like it should be.

Enjoying this more than I thought I would. Cena's doing his part. Looks like he's getting a lil pissed. That ''we'll see how you handle it” shot was a nice one. If Cena does turn heel, he should remark about how even the panel was against him. ''I beat me” was a sore loser ******* comment. I loved it. Heel turn please

Wishy washy RAW, but the opening and closing segments were good. Punk finally lit the fuse his feud with Taker has been needing with that promo. That man is untouchable on the mic right now.

That was mostly a pretty good, if overlong, segment. I dislike The Rock but I thought his answers were well delivered and made sense, Cena had a couple of good moments but seemed a little off his game, his first answer was particularly poor.

Why Cant Cena take a Rock Bottom well? Why?

I actually liked that panel segment more than I thought I would.

Cenas overconfidence and even arrogance seemed almost heelish at times (for anyone wanting that).

Rock seemed to project the right amount of seriousness and did a good job. Both guys did but Rock's delivery was better. Cena seemed a little bit off at times.

They did a decent job of creating doubt about EXACTLY whats going to happen even though I still think Cena wins. No just who wins but will Cena not be able to pull it off or will he cheat or tease a heel turn.

But if that segment was designed to make Cena look more sympathetic it didn't really work. It does make him look more desperate though. If that was also part of the design they at least suceeded in that. With me anyway.

I'm curious to know who's spot Flair would have taken. Dusty's? Bookers? I'm glad Bret was there but if Flair had been there with him that would have been interesting to watch.

He took the one Punk did on him at Night of Champions perfectly.

I thought the table got in the way of them getting the full motion tonight.

Rock called Cena shallow for being a baby, and he looked broken after that Rock Bottom. I can't recall them ever hinting at a turn like this before.

I thought it was a good line.

For a heel.

Cena is the best heel in wrestling, or to put it another way, he's the worst babyface in wrestling. Whichever you prefer.

Overall...Bret. Owen was a better talker and had more character but Bret had more of that top star aura and was better at putting on more great matches with different kinds of opponents. On ring work alone Bret made his matches look like big deals. Like epics.

Perhaps it would have been all five of them. Wasn't the segment originally announced as a panel of five hall of famers? I know Lawler was there too, but he didn't count as a panelist.

I pray that Cena turns heel at WM....

And Punk returns after his time away and slides into Cena's face slot.

The problem though is there aren't any faces for him to feud with in that gap of time, unless you pit him against Orton or Sheamus.
