This.

I'm actually still going back and forth about watching it.

Well there's literally nothing else for me to do on Sunday night since I'm never usually out when my gf is working and since she is, I'm gonna end up watching WM anyways, but it's just one of those feelings where I find myself already regretting it and that feeling usually happens with other WWE PPVs and not for WrestleMania. Kinda sad.

I'll be playing WWE'13 in universe mode and have Wrestlemania..MY way,Then I'll look for Punk vs Taker on YouTube in a few days and maybe Cena vs Rock But only IF Cena turns heel!!

Congrats to Trish! I bet she'll make a great mother.

Why did he get booed?,I mean did Trish show up and introduce her husband and crowed just booed him or what??

Playful jealousy. Not only did he marry Trish, but now he's impregnated her...which is something a lot of dudes wanted to do back in the day, and many still do.

Dude just replaced Punk as the top heel in wrestling...lol.

Yeah.

Same here. I was excited for Mania at the start of the year, but each month leading to now has made me less and less excited for 'Mania.

An excerpt from a John Cena interview on espn.com:

ESPN Playbook: I know you said you’re not playing a character earlier, and how you’re playing yourself, but a lot of fans continue to clamor for a John Cena heel turn. I know in the past you’ve said you’re against it, but what if it was the best written script possible, something that would completely change the landscape of WWE? Would you go full-out heel and make the kids cry for maybe a year, or is that just not in the plans?

John Cena: I just don’t see me getting there in order to please a very small group of 30-year-olds. To be very honest with you, every single week I meet kids with life-threatening illnesses and they’ll tell me how much I mean to them, and their parents will tell me how inspirational I’ve been to their kids. We raised a million dollars last year for breast cancer. I’m helping spearhead the Hurricane Sandy relief fund at this year’s WrestleMania. I’ve been able to give back to the military in Tribute to the Troops. And I’m currently working on a program to help America shave 5 million pounds. All of this stuff I would have to stop if I was a “bad guy.” To be a bad guy, you actually have to be a bad guy. I just don’t have it in me, personally. So although you might get a great story out of it for nine months, doing it would just take away so much, and I don’t have that club in the bag.

Because you can't be inspirational to kids unless you play some specific role on camera?

It makes sense if the kids are young enough to really believe in kayfabe.

I thought The Miz helped out with kids a lot during his heel days, though?

Yeah it's such a small group, John. That's why your ass gets booed out of the building on a regular basis. 18-34 year old males are still WWE's biggest demo.

Now THAT is what I'd love t see. I love your idea. A shame its too smart for WWE to book it.

Plus it would, you know, actually give the undercard an angle.

Only a pipe dream...

I don't mind her choosing who she wants but Lita was by far the best choice. I know why she picked Stephanie McMahon but I've got to wonder why she decided not to choose Lita? That would have made her induction even better.

I honestly don't think she chose, like most things WWE the company controls what happens.

I was wondering the opposite when Rock put over the match with Cena as the biggest of his career. C'mon Rock...REALLY? I know they have to sell the WM29 match but how many people are going to believe that sh**. I like Cena but I can think of a few matches that were far far FAR bigger.

Haha! They are reaching Hogan and Angle levels of over-hyping. Rock's matches with Austin and Hogan were clearly bigger deals for starters.

Ditto. I wouldn't complain if Shawn and Austin DID come out of retirement for one last match each if they were in good shape and able to perform at high levels but at the same time I'm glad they are sticking to their guns so far. Like you said they know they achieved just about everything they could, don't want to tarnish that, and are humble enough to move aside for the next generation. I respect that. Its better to go out on a high note than to hang around too long. It take a lot of class. I think they know they may not have gotten their shots as quickly if other people hadn't left WWE when they did. Sometimes you have to embrace new things and fresh ideas to grow.

Don't get my wrong I'd kill to see them have certain matches but at the same time I'm content with their careers as is if they stay away from the ring.

To be honest Punk and Lesnar are the only guys I'd want to see either work with, maybe HBK vs Rock but I'm not sure even Shawn can get much out of Rock these days. I know Ziggler wants to wrestle Shawn but I suspect it could end up a case of being too similar like HBK and Hennig. Both guys left the right way with the right matches and have walked away with dignity in tact and shown themselves capable of living life without wrestling, lets keep it that way.

Yeah Eddie had heart. More than Del Rio is showing so far. And he owned that ring in a way Del Rio never has in WWE. But the key is having so much passion that its infectious. Eddie was a joy to watch perform. He drew me in the very first time ever saw him wrestle. He just had such an energy. Thats not something one can book or program into the audience.

Eddie had the intangible x factor, that charisma that made him connect with people in a way only the great ones can, Del Rio is an upper mid card act at best.

I agree. Or Shawn Connery's Ramirez beating the Kurgan. Triple H is the old guard and second tier...not "the one." The big match should be Brock putting over someone like CM Punk...a man who is talented and the true underdog hero. Triple H is neither a true underdog nor a hero.

Cena, as that kind of hero, beating Brock made far more sense and even then he only won by a fluke and by the skin of his teeth. Like you said Triple H doesn't have the excuse of being some huge draw like Hogan. If Hogan was in his prime THATS who you throw against Brock to draw HUUUGE money. I could at least understand Brock jobbing to Hogan in his prime. It'd be a massive money match and would be THE main even of Wrestlemania. Triple H vs Brock isn't that level of match and not that kind of draw.

Smart booking would have Brock slamming Triple H THROUGH the f***n ring in his buildup to true super destroyer status. He should only lose when its a must and in the biggest match on the card putting over the guy who can be that true hero. Hell maybe even a guy who might be the face of the company one day. Brock, if he stays healthy, has a lot more years in him than HHH. He's in the MIDDLE of his career while Pauly L McMahon is nearing the twilight. He should be a stepping stone for Lesnar not a roadblock.

This is one of those cases of WWE PUSHING Triple H as one of the greats when in reality he's the guy you put with Lesnar in a losing effort to draw money. He's not a hero and certainly not THE hero. He's not one of the true A level greats. He's not even on The Undertakers level. If anyone is the defender of the WWE against Brock its Taker not Pole Nose McMahon

Exactly! Like Cornette said, Triple H is the guy that works with the guy that draws the money, Lesnar is the draw card here, not him. He should as you say just be there to enhance Brock for a real mega money match.

However it's just as likely to be part of the Triple H "Legend" myth WWE are attempting to manufacture with smoke and mirrors.

Agreed. The kind of doubt Austin had also crept in mighty fast. Its not like he was on a downward slide or stuck in neutral for six months before he turned and joined up with Vince either.

Yep, he'd just won the Rumble by eliminating The Rock. He needed to lose to Rock before he took desperate measures for it to make sense IMO.

Yeah that was the real problem. It was a throw away match on tv. We've only seen the problem get worse with WWE and TNA doing that a lot now. WCW did it too and we saw how they ended up. Austin handled the whole thing wrong but time has proven his reasons for refusing to job to be even MORE right.

As for HBK when someone has spent YEARS putting over other talent a job to a lower card guy on the way out isn't as needed. Thats why Flair didn't need to go out that way either. They'd already made big investments in the business to make sure its future was more secure.

Flair made a 25 year investment in Sting thats STILL paying off and paying off years after a guy like Batista retired. And at its peak that investment paid out a LOT more than the one in Batista ever did.

Shawn did the same thing with Cena and Angle and Jericho and Edge...and below them Rhodes and Orton and so many others.

Thats the difference between the careers (and their endings) of Flair and Michaels and someone like Triple H. When he goes he SHOULD put over a lower card guy to make up for all the time he's hogged at the top without giving pack. He's never passed along those favors guys like Foley did for him as much as he should have. Shawn and Ric did and then some.

Austin recognized that the idea of PPV quality matches on free TV started by Bischoff was reaching the point of stupidity when you're booking him vs Lesnar with no build, and his forecast that it was the road to ruin has come true as it's practically impossible to make any match feel special as chances are it has already been done many times on Raw and SD.

Triple H has spent his whole career wanting to be like Flair and chasing the same respect and status Shawn has, yet he seems to have totally ignored the things they showed him about what you can leave as a real legacy once the worked win is forgotten.

It's fitting that Triple H has a huge nose like an Elephant trunk, he has a memory like them as well. I mean Batista is his one pure creation as he may have legitimized Cena at Mania 22 but he made note of that job and even though he couldn't get his win back at Mania 23 due to injury he beat Cena clean at NOC 2008in their first match since that Mania loss, there was absolutely no reason for him to beat the companies main guy.

Thats tricky since they are both pretty unique guys who do their own thing. I don't think either is afraid to speak their mind. Hopefully Heyman's brokered a decent professional relashionship between the two of them. I think Punks said he WANTS to work with Brock so thats a good sign.

I'm wondering what common ground Heyman found for them, I'd love to have been a fly on the wall for that sit down. :D

I certainly would like to nail Stephanie. :oldrazz: The pic still shows some of the main problems and symptons with the company right now though...and the culprits behind them.

Haha! touche! :D Yep, it's like the poster for the Usual Suspects.

I really hope 2K Games does a good job with the franchise. They've really been hit (NBA) or miss (MLB) with their stuff.

"Coming Home" by Diddy

Really? I would have preferred that McLemore song "Can't Hold Us." That song is kick ass. Nothing wrong with Coming Home though as I think that's his best song in along time.

Plus Diddy hasn't really been relevant as a Music Producer since the early part of the century.

I'm beyond tired of the top guy in WWE getting substantial booes. It's BS that the WWE can't give us a babyface that works.
