Sigh. Of course, Gunther retains thanks to interference from Jimmy Uso. Instead of being named "Main Event" Jey Uso, it seems like "Never Wins" Jey Uso would be more appropriate for his character.

What a waste of what could've been a classic first-time match. Honestly, I'm sick of seeing Gunther as the IC champion. The guy has nowhere else to go with it.

I can't wait until Gunther either drops the title either to someone else (unlikely at this point) or from injury.

I just don't understand the logic of keeping the IC title on Gunther at this point. He's already the longest reigning IC champion in history. You'd think that it would be smarter to put the title on someone that's both incredibly over with the fans and has merchandise that's also selling well.

Gunther's done all that he can with the title. At this point, it's just a chore to watch him defend the title if there's no actual threat of him losing it.

There are SO MANY other wrestlers that would benefit from having a run with the IC title right now.

I get not having Jade Cargill in the Elimination Chamber if she wasn't going to win it. You don't want Jade taking a pin this early. Tiffany Stratton can take a pin, as she's done so in NXT so many times before. Bianca is at the point in her career now where if she gets pinned, it doesn't affect her. If Becky wins the Chamber (and she probably will) Jade should not be in the match. Yes Jade did not win the Rumble, but losses by count-out or where she's in a multiple woman match or tag match and she's not the one taking the pin is no big deal. She should not get pinned until she's well established. If Becky wasn't in the match, having Jade in the match with Bianca, Naomi, Tiffany, Liv and Raquel Rodriguez and winning it would make sense.

I do agree with that. Let's see how Gunther does in the World Championship scene. I do think that he's losing the title soon. I could see him losing it and then getting a rematch at Bash at Berlin so he can win it in front of his home country.

Sheamus has not won the IC Title, it's the only title he hasn't won. It's also the only main roster title John Cena hasn't won either, but he's not coming back for Mania.
