My colleague’s sister was an extra in Thor 2… About a month ago! Can’t believe I forgot! She told me that they were doing some filming near/around Stone Henge with a naked blue guy running around! She told me I wasn’t allowed to tell anyone though as she wasn’t supposed to tell anyone either

Maybe he's arriving on Midgard via some sort of portal that, like the Terminator movies, drops you off butt nekkid.

That's a possibility as well, but I didnt think that the dark elves that we think we've seen so far looked particularly blue, so i was thinking Malekith might look more like what we've seen so far (if those are Dark Elves and not something else). But we dont know what Malekith looks like yet, or if this is true and not somebody (yet again) pulling the Thor 2 and Loki fandom's chain... so... maybe.

Yes, I loved David Tennant's tenth Doctor as well, but he's not rumored to be buck naked in this movie. I'm sure that Loki will have a good rival for fangirl attention with Christopher Eccleston in full Malekith costume.

You know since Tom's complained numerous times before about how hot and heavy and difficult to get into the Loki costume is, maybe they wanted to give the guy a break? I mean, even if he's blue, this "costume" would be a walk in the park in comparison... or in this case a walk through Stonehenge buck nekkid and blue... LOL

This film already seems to be promising more grand scale action sequences than its predecessor.

Hell yeah it does, I love the fact that they're massive evironmental damage in the Midgard action scenes. It's also pretty cool to see Thor fighting in several different realms throughout the course of one film.

yeah this doesn't have a lightning strike quality to it. this seems like someone, or something hit the ground hard and slid a good 100 feet. could be thor getting thrown by surtur? or kurse? or him tackling kurse?

Yeah I really hope it's Thor crashing into the ground or tackling/knocking someone into the ground.

LOL.... I was beginning to feel the same way about your Surtur infatuation.

And I just think it would be so utterly absurd, and yet I could see a greedy exec out to make the most of the Loki popularity with the ladies in particular suggesting they actually put that in. So hilariously absurd.... I mean, a very talented highly trained Shakespearean actor reduced to being stripped down painted blue and running around Stonehenge nekkid on top of it? I may not be able to show my face at my local theater again after I LMAO at the site of this scenario. I for one hope it's not the actual case, and Tom is allowed to keep some dignity (and clothes on) and not just have to do that to please the fan girls.

I'm very glad to read about this blue druid guy actually, that seems very likely since he's been linked to Stonehenge in the comics. I suspected someone might come up with a character that fits that description. I'll have to look up the story about him soon... t:

I pray that this film finally shows people that Marvel can make a solo hero film with the same quality that they poured into the Iron Man franchise so far and that we won't have to worry about many people bringing up the criticism on how small scaled a Thor film ends up being, etc.

Thor is the strongest hero that has his own film coming out before the next chapter in the Avengers films, so they had better give him the treatment that he deserves.

Security from the set telling folks the shoot is for "Dark Elf Kingdom" scenes. The rocks and rubble are apart of their kingdom. Also, "Interior shots in the chapel all day!" Not sure if we'll see any of the other actors

My theory on why the Thor 1 movie seemed on a smaller scale to what some may have wanted, is because all involved felt the general audience needs to be able to relate to the characters and story in order for movies that follow to be a success. And in order for that to happen they need a script and performances that people can relate to and they needed to concentrate on the story more than the flash. People understand the two brothers in competition with each other angle, people understand a hot headed son and a disappointed father, etc... so what Thor 1 did is make these characters easier to relate to, so that when they bring in the more cosmic/crazy/fantasy elements, people are already invested in the characters and want to go on a journey with them. That is a key thing to setup, which is especially important for a really fantasy based film like this. Otherwise you have just a lot of cool effects and fights and who the hell really cares about what happens to the characters or within the story?
