Well that mask is covering his mouth. It would be quite simple for someone else to do a voice over. Or at least that's what I'm hoping for.

It sounds worse than the original voice of Darth Vader:

Yeah, I don't get the voice. Weird delivery, and a contrived English accent which oddly sounds nothing like Tom Hardy's ACTUAL voice, which would have worked a lot better. I know context is everything, but judging by this first snippet, Bane's voice sounds rather lame.

I will reserve judgement until I see the finished product . I have faith that the film will be damn good . If I am wrong I am wrong , but right now I see the internet at its worse.

I think this Bane is all about the lulz. He speaks like a little old obese British professor, grins behind his mask, rips up photos of Dent, breaks out prisoners after stealing Batman's toys, all while looking stylish doing it.

It's worth defending because it's an interesting direction to take, and this isn't the best representation of it. Those who were actually there have been saying good things about it and giving us further details from having watched many takes, but even so it may be changed later or may not be entirely consistent throughout the film.

I reserve my full judgment until I get a better listen of it, and even better would be to see footage of Bane while speaking so we get an idea of the performance in conjunction with the voice.

Can you really blame our skepticism? I mean, what the hell?? Catwoman doesn't look like Catwoman (which I don't mind) and Bane doesn't look nor sound like Bane (no muscle, busy costume, short, Darth Vader mask, etc).

I had no problem with Bane up until that voice clip.

Eh, I like the voice. Kinda shocking to hear it at first, but I've listened to it a few times and it's definitely an interesting take. Makes me wonder why he sounds like he's in pain.

I like the voice though, but it's hard to judge from a poorly recorded audio. I'll reserve my full judgment until the trailer. I'm not jumping out of a window yet.
