I thought we had figured out how they "solved" the height issue, Tom's body double is taller than Bale, and Bale's body double is significantly shorter than himself, so they will be around the same height for the fight scenes.

Bane actually sounds like a British lord, listen to how he says "Why don't you identify yourself to the world".

Yea i kinda got that from his voice too actually. He sounds almost... ill, or something. Maybe he's become so dependant on Venom it's actually keeping him alive, but also killing him?

This could be cery cool!

If Bane is dying then he would have nothing to lose, meaning he would take down Gotham by any means necessary. With death imminent, there would be nothing that Batman could do to threaten him, really.

If Bane is dying, it establishes time limit on when he will strike with his evil plan, forcing Bats (who may "not exist" according to the teaser) into action.

Not really that bad.

Humidity is what causes it. Consider the fact that he's a pasty Brit wearing a sweater during the hottest months of an American summer, you're going to get a lot of sweat and ingrown hairs underneath.

Being from the south I can tell you I've seen a lot worse, though I'm sure the steroids aren't helping.

I remember someone on these boards (who of course claimed he had inside knowledge) saying that similar to how Ra's and Henri Ducard's character's were combined for Liam Neeson. Sir Edmund Dorrance (aka King Snake) and Bane would be combined for Tom Hardy. It would certainly explain his posh old man voice.

Actually, I don't know how familiar you are with audio engineering and manipulation, but you can basically take any line of someone speaking and change to however you want it, different tone, pace, speed, mood, inflection it's pretty easy actually.

exactly! i could go use logic studio and make this sound menacing as hell in about 5 minutes. you could even just do something simple like adding a second layer to the voice, pitch it down, and you'd end up with that shredder kind of vibe.

So heres my little summary of what I saw yesterday at the shoot:

-Banes voice, not that bad. Again, more surprising than anything, but in the finished film, it will be good.

-The "instrument" looks kind of silly. Reminds me of the big bomb in Batman Forever. But I trust Nolan. Looking forward to what it can actually do.

- I was a little skeptical of a football scene. Sounded kind of silly in my opinion. But I think it will be real terrifying in the movie when it happens. The crowd was so massive that the panic and screams were REAL scary. Should look good on film. But again, a football scene..Eh

-A little thing I loved was Banes slow walk into the stadium. Looked awesome

well they'll redub his voice anyway for film. He does sound abit weird though but we need a HQ version.

^ I get a more Deacon Blackfire-feel from him than King Shark

Yes, that's the thing they will modify his voice post production and Hardy will redub with ADR, but not to the point where it will be a completely different voice. What we heard was more or less the direction the voice will be taken.

About the walk, how did he move? Did it have any charecteristiscs? Like determination, drunkeness, head held up high, etc etc?

Hardy probably sounds like what his grandfather talks like he probably modeled his voice after him.

Does anyone else remember football games being depicted in BTAS and The Batman cartoons?

Numerous times. There was a Scarecrow episode where the occurred, I believe. He poisoned the quarterback.

Very cool, now is anyone going to today's shoot? Because I'm sure there is more of Bane with today.

I'm fairly sure everybody will say "I LOVE IT" when we hear it on film, pretty much like the Joker's mannerisms !

Thank You!!! A Football game doesn't silly when its during the winter time I am glad they finally put a sporting event in a Batman film.

Everyone complaining now about Hardy's voice will be the same fanboys salivating over his take on Bane when the movie is finally released. Guaran-effin'-teed. Saw this same tired song and dance when details about Ledger's Joker leaked. Now he's on half the avatars on the hype.

I don't know what to make of it yet.

He does sound a little weak or weezy but something isn't right about his voice though.
