The Dark Knight Rises Tom Hardy as Bane XIII

Thanks guys. :)

I wonder if the scars on Bane's back/neck have anything to do with his mask, I hope they do.

I'm really interested to find out. I'm wondering what purpose the mask would serve without anything flowing into it. Hopefully there's some sort of tube in his back and connecting to the inside of the mask.

Why do you assume it has anything to do with attention? If that's what I want then I'd post pictures of myself flexing (you requested a number of people to post pictures of their bodies ). You sure have weird requests.

I made the comparison because I can't picture Bane a 6'8 400 pound character looking to be about the same size as a 5'10 200 pound Batfan.
it was only a question if it has to do with the lack of attention that people compare them selves with an actor that stand in the spot lights...you know ...you answered but you werent ment...:oldrazz: or did you?

Something like that really would be cool.

I don't want it to be something cheesy like, oh he'll die without his mask. :funny:

:funny: yeah no kidding, we already had Darth Vader.

I'm assuming you didn't read the post that you quoted.

Some of the spy pics showed Bane with a large scar going down his neck.

I have this gut feeling that Bane will be immune to physical pain. Therefore batman cant beat him down. (kinda like the joker i guess, except this guy can fight back).

what i think will be interesting with Bane as teh villain is blood. they can not show it. yet when Bane and Batman fight there should be a lot of blood.

Nolan in BB and TDK used a lot of tricks. it will be interesting to see how he will shwo this on screen

From what we've seen though, Batman does land a few blows on Bane which make him stagger and fall back, he must feel something so.

Darth Vader is cheesy?

Um.. I like Darth Vader. Huge Star Wars fan. But it would be cheesy to see Bane turnout to be some Darth Vader 2.0 that can't survive without the breathing mask. Sounds very unoriginal.

So just because Lucas did it with Star Wars no one could ever do it again without it being cheesy?

I'm sure Bane will be a very different character from Darth Vader, mask dependent or not.

You sure ask a lot of questions. The main dominant evilllll villain depending on a breathing mask to stay alive. Sorry but it reminds me more of Darth Vader than Bane. But obviously my opinion bothers you.

I never said they were going to be identical characters. I was just talking about the concept of the mask that's being used for the main villain, in case you missed it.

Inb4 another "just because" or "so" question.

There was a rumour like that early on. Not sure if I believe it, though. It speculated Ras Al Ghul (played by Pence) is burning down a city in the desert somewhere, and Bane crawls out of a hole with fire on him, and doesn't feel it. This takes Ras' interest.

Hmmm. I thought this rumor was debunked as a suggestion that spawned off of NolanFans. I could be wrong though, and I do like the idea of the whole "immune to pain" thing :yay:

lol now that really sounds like Darth Vader.... the evil villain depending on a breathing mask after he was caught on fire. Although I doubt that's true.

I think it originated from IMDB. Someone apparently heard the production talking about it in India. :o

It does sound really bogus. I mean, just because you can't feel something, doesn't mean damage isn't being done. If fire is on your back, it's still burning and ripping into your skin. Not feeling that happen is more dangerous, because you don't react to stop the effects as quickly.

Why can't they show blood?

Being PG13 they can show a limited amount of blood, but Nolan so far has been very averse to showing any. In TDK there were a lot of places for it but Nolan just chose not to.

I respect Nolan for refraining from blood. I for one believe that you don't have to provide graphic material in order to create a quality film.
