The Dark Knight Rises Tom Hardy as Bane XIII

Yea I get that. But still, the violence is actually shown. The camera doesn't pan away, they actually use blood squibs etc.

Again it's not a big deal really, but like I said, when a guy takes a few bullets to the chest from point blank range and there isn't a drop of blood, it takes me out of the movie. I loved the way the Joker just does it all casual like, but the ploom of smoke, instead of spray of blood, sorta ruins it.

Yes, that's my point, it's shown because they can afford to show it, given the type of violence it is. In TDK they couldn't.

I'm playing catch up. What are the young Bane rumors?

They're really old, and none of them have been confirmed in the least.

One is Ra's and the LoS burning down Bane's village, and Bane rising out of the fiery aftermath of his house, in rags, and not feeling pain.

The other is Ra's putting Bane over and over again into a pit full of "Venom" compound, but instead of a super steroid, it's a naturally occurring thing.

Yeah. One of these, or both, originated from IMDB.

And they're both stupid.

Bane and his men hiding out in the sewers makes perfect sense to me, considering everything they're doing to Gotham.

Where else would a mercenary group hide in a city that is turning over every stone to find them?

Thank you!

These men are professionals. Seriously, do you guys expect to see them relaxing and plotting at a Four Seasons?

Our SEALS hide in jungles, swamps, deserts, oceans, etc for god's sake.

There are virtually no hidding spots for a small militia in a city.

If they have control of the city, I don't think they'll be hiding at all.

We at least know the first one isn't true (thank god) because Bane looks nothing like a burn victim.

Yep. People don't get that just because he can't feel pain, doesn't mean he's invulnerable.

His skin would still burn.

REAL people in the real world have conditions where they don't feel pain, but they can still get injured.

If Bane crawled out of a burning building as a child, and the flames were close enough that they were SUPPOSED to hurt him, but didn't, his skin would be charred through.

And since we know exactly what happens to people who get set on fire in this Bat-Franchise, he looks nothing like it.

It's amazing the dumb **** people make up and try to pass it off as real.

First Nolan rips BB by repeating, now BR. What's next?

Gill had reported Bane would be vicious btw.

Useless video of Tom on set. I can't see ****

He's very sweet though :awesome:

^Very accurate about not being able to see anything.

I knew this wasn't true because any one with a little bit of sense would realize a painless life is essentially one of the most fatal. There is a reason why those that are born with this illness don't typically live past their teen years.

I don't want Bane to be trained by Ra's and the LoS. Sadly, it appears that this route is likely to happen because of Bane's association with the LoS in this film.

If this angle ends up being true, how would it even work? Does Bane escape from prison at age eight and then is found by the LoS?

Bane is wrongfully imprisoned. He escapes on his own and finds the League of Shadows. Using their chemicals and laboratory he forumulates his Venom. Then he openly challenges the League and rips his way through them before escaping.

He then goes around gathering the downtrodden and those who were victimized by corruption by the politicians, law enforceers, and crime lords. With his personal army he gains a reputation as a brutal avenger who won't hesitate to kill and tear down establishments he deems corrupt. He makes a show of slaughtering the corrupt leaders he kills to imspire the people into rebellious frenzy.

He learns of Gotham, of Dent's actions as Two-Face. He figures out about Batman and Gordon covering up Two-Face. Hence he frees those imprisoned by Dent and takes over Gotham.

Talia travels to Gotham in order to put a halt to Bane, as his methods and those of the League stand in sharp contrast--Bane is unnecessarily violent, brutal, and betrayed the League. Then she comes into conflict with Bane and maybe Batman.

BAW BAW BAW DARK MIRROR BAW.

Agreed, but considering the leap in logic with Harvey's burns people will still use that as an excuse for other asinine things that don't make sense in a grounded world.

I hope bane rips out Batmans spine then they need a new batman to Val Kilmer steps in to be the new Bruce Wayne kills bane then marries anne hathaway

Hmmm, some if it wouldn't make sense.

Why would Bane seek out the LoS? And then work for the organization to create a new substance? From what I can gather from the comics, I don't remember Bane being a scientist, or much of a chemist.

Maybe he learned about em after he escaped, or they were responsible for his incarceration (I don't like this idea myself). Him being a chemist was my idea. I thought it'd be a good way to display his intellect since we don't want him to appear as merely a dumb brute.:yay:

I dont think Bane is trained by LOS in TDKR

In fact I think they have no history

I think Bane and Talia make a deal: Tatelia helps Bane to get Gotham via Fox's technology, and in exchange, Bane gets her Batman

there you go. Bane will be 190 lbs. And Hardy tells the ***** ass fanboys to stop crying and demanding him to get to an impossible size

Tom Hardy was only joking when he said he “cries” after reading online comments at a recent press event in Los Angeles, but in all seriousness, he does take the negative feedback to heart. Against his friends advice, Tom Hardy reads online complaints regarding his role as Bane in the upcoming Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.

“I do read comments and I cry. I can’t cry for everybody.”

The Warrior star told CineMovie, the Batman fans would’ve liked the onscreen Bane to be 400 pounds like the comic book character, but it seemed like an impossible feat for the English actor; “I’m like Dude!”

Before taking on the role of Bane in the Christopher Nolan Batman movie, Tom Hardy put his body through a 12-hour rigorous training regimen for Warrior as did his co-star Joel Edgerton. To become the ex-Marine Tommy Conlon in the inspirational action drama directed by Gavin O’Connor, Tom put on muscle that put him at 179 pounds. Afterwards, he increased his body mass and is now at his heaviest at 190 pounds for The Dark Knight Rises.

Hardy understands the fans love for their superhero icon and that whoever steps into any role related to that will be scrutinized.
“So many people love him. And when you step into that role - you are going to fail. And be judged.”

Hardy deals with it by “switching off” but he says he is human and its hard to ignore the blogosphere. Ultimately, his job is to be the “best person” he can be in bringing this revered character to life on screen. Fans eventually will have to put their trust in him as an actor and in director Christopher Nolan.

“Just trust me. I trust Nolan.”

Wow. So much fail it's actually kinda shocking.

Let's go numerically shall we?

1. Hardy doesn't tell us "***** ass fanboys" anything. He presents his case thoughtfully and from a good place. He respects us just like we respect him.

2. Nobody, NOBODY, wanted Hardy to get to 400+ lbs. ALL we want is for him to be slightly taller than Batman. Which is perfectly achievable through camera angles and post production. Hardy looks just fine as he is, but he needs to be taller than Batman. Plain and simple.

3. Sure, there ARE a few people who are saying he's too small to be Bane. They are few and far between.

I think that sums this up nicely. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

Bane will be fine. Couldn't care less if he is 190 pounds. Height can be achieved through camera tricks.

they will lnot make Bane bigger. if they would they would also use special boots or shoes like for RDJ. for example you use camera tricks for wide shots .for close ups shots you dont use camera trickcs. in close up shots its better and cheaper to use special shoes or a box. we saw nothing at the city hall

There were stairs in the city hall and we saw Bale being one or two steps lower than Buster (or was it Hardy) in some training pics. We just don't know at this point.

I seem to remember page after page of people *****ing about his size, including his height.

based on the videos its 100% confirmed that while Batman and Bane fight they are moving up the stairs in the building.
