Nope, I don't get aggressive over a small debate. I simply just don't give a damn about other fans' opinions regarding Bane and The Joker. I have mine, and mine alone.
There are personal reasons why I prefer Bane over any other villain.

May I ask what they are? I'm not seeking to challenge them; I am genuinely interested as I don't think I have ever spoken to anyone with the same view. There are personal reasons why I prefer Bane over any other villain.
Not to pick on you and don't take this as combative but:
Why are you here? This is a discussion board, isn't the inherent use to have your own opinion but to be open to other's opinions so that you may actually learn something.
Or is it that we're here just to scream in each others faces and bond with the people of like mindedness and ignore those who aren't?

I've seen how fast and how harsh things can get in these boards over something so small, which is why I do not bring many of my unpopular opinions to light. I prefer they stay hidden. Now, there will be times where I do state my minority opinion on a subject or topic but I typically revert to staying quiet.
That would all be fine if you hadn't started saying little remarks about "Joker fans taking it on the chin" and stuff like that. And when you're on a forum and post something like that, you can't not expect a reply... otherwise, why post it in the 1st place?
I gotcha.
I'm always interested though, just so you know.
You might have not directly insulted anyone but that quip involving Bay's Transformers suggested to me that you viewed Bane's quality in the same fashion -- a brainless one-dimensional action-packed extravaganza.
So, yes. I posted that response regarding your ability to take a negative comment towards your favorite villain.
I'm not exactly sure how you related to Bane from reading Knightfall? From what you have told us, I could understand you relating to him from reading Vengeance, but not Knightfall.I won't go into it too far but it boils down to my childhood. My father was a scumbag and I was thrown into a world where I believed I had to evolve to survive. My personal ambitions soon took that further. I taught myself French and the arts of Judo and Iaido (to hurt my opponents/bullies).
There's a part of me that understands Bane. Upon first reading Knightfall, I was caught off guard. As much as I adored Batman, Bane became a character I could relate to in a unique way.

"All I'm saying is, my inability to understand your opinion is the same as my inability to understand why people like other **** things"No. There are just some things I am unable to understand. Liking Bayformers is one. Liking Bane over Joker (no matter how much you connect to him personally) is another one. Not liking tomatoes is another. Liking Twilight is another. Liking Highlader 5 is another. They're in no way connected to each other.

Yes, I have that inability, like I admitted just above. Difference is, I didn't insult your opinion, whereas you got defensive and borderline insulting.

Just come out with it and say you think he has bad taste.
Once more, your opinion. You cannot speak for me on why, so leave it alone.
Not giving a flying f**k about someone else's opinion when coming to favorite comic characters is borderline insulting? Believe me, if I were insulting you, you'd be aware of it.
Happy birthday Ben.
I'm an allie to the reaper.
I don't speak for you! I just said I don't get it! Never said you're not entitled to it, or that you're wrong!
No, I believe that comments such as "it's hilarious to see Joker fans' reaction when they take one on the chin" are borderline insulting.
That is not the tone I am receiving. What is there to perceive?
Is it not true? Sorry if that sounds insulting. Other websites have members where go insane if the words Joker and Overrated are found in the same sentence. It's never quite "Why?"
Didn't you get the memo?Or is it that we're here just to scream in each others faces and bond with the people of like mindedness and ignore those who aren't?
