It's amazing how tame the Anne Hathaway thread seems now. :hehe:

Vulgarity

Excessive language is not tolerated. Inappropriate language is automatically filtered. Inappropriate context, however, is not, but still should not be used. Bypassing the filter may result in either a warning or automatic probation. Repeated violations of this rule may result in account banning.

vul·gar·i·ty (vl-gr-t)
n. pl. vul·gar·i·ties
1. The quality or condition of being vulgar.
2. Something, such as an act or expression, that offends good taste or propriety.

Now fellas, how about that Bane. I'm surprised there isn't that much discussion or speculation about Bane using a voice box in TDKR. That sounds interesting. I wonder if we'll ever see Bane sans mask at any part of the film. Does he die if he doesn't have it? I can definitely see that being what leads to his downfall.

Oh please, the amount of creepiness in the Selena Kyle thread is stifling.

Yeah, it's pretty bad. I've commented on it too.

Can we please just discuss the actors AS the characters like the name of the threads suggest?

I beg to differ. Me and Doctor Who have been composed gentlemen when coming to Anne Hathaway. There's nothing dirty about a Shakespearean sonnet. :yay:

You Tom Hardy fans are on a whole another level though. :cwink:

I get a strange flashback to Scream when I hear the word voice changer. I think Hardy's voice will be altered during post, how they explain it in film I don't know.

Folks, if you can't keep the conversation clean then do yourself a favor and don't say anything at all.

Even though the Anne Hathaway thread has borderline (and some not so borderline) inappropriate comments daily... despite the warning by Mister J in the opening post of that thread... it is tolerated. When women and gay men make any comments that even entertain the idea of entering that same direction concerning the male stars, however, a big fuss is made. No doubt because it's considered "icky" by the straight boys. The double standard is obvious and shameful.

Let me put an end to this. I am sick and tired of the juvenile, immature, and locker room "so called" humor all over this place. I have repeatedly told EVERYONE (I don't care if you are straight, gay, bi, trans, or Michael Jackson) stop the crude sexual comments. If I have to come into this forum and start putting every other poster on probation because they can't act nice....I will.

EDIT: If the double standard isn't intentional it's certainly happened. Have some of you mods READ some of the things that have been said in the Anne Hathaway thread? Pages upon pages of sexual comments, pictures that have 0 to do with the production of the film and even as far as allusions to rape.

Now there's one comment in the Tom Hardy thread and everyone's all upset and sick of it suddenly?

It just seems a little strange from a view of someone who reads both threads quite a bit

Thats not true at all.

There's much more of a backlash towards posting pictures of Anne or talking about her physicality than there ever is of Hardy, and the Hardy banter, idolization, and "creepiness" spills into every single thread. You cant say anything about Hathaways physicality anymore without being bombarded by "Can we talk about Catwoman?" or "this is creepy" but to make sexual innuendos about Hardy constantly, and not just in one isolated thread, goes without batting an eye. You have the double standard reversed.

Can we talk about Bane, please?

And did you or anyone else report it? No...it's better to do nothing and then complain that nothing is being done.

I just removed 5 pages worth of crudity from that thread.

No I didn't report it. Mods have been in an out of that page since its started. I figured someone noticed.

Next time I'll be more diligent I just figured it was something that was alright to do around here since it goes on for pages upon pages

To be honest, 90% of the comments here and in the Catwoman are not crude or vulgar.

That being said, there are a few comments that do a bit too far. However, I barely see them floating around now.
