yeah he's not really in costume here, so that pic doesn't really prove anything to me about how his face is going to look under the mask. I mean on set he isn't gonna have any prosthetic on his face if he was gonna be in mask all day. only on the days where he would remove it on camera would they apply it.

That would be awesome. Batman kicks Bane's ass and then realizes that Bane was just the lackey. That the Demon's Head has returned and orchestrated the whole thing. Culminating in the final fight between student and master.

I'm not going to lie and say I wouldn't love a Prestige type of conclusion like that. I'd love it as a matter of fact but the chances seem pretty low but then again you never know.

The "When Gotham is ashes, you have my permission to die" in the trailer is one of my favorite things ever.

He sounds pretty similar from the trailer and prologue but I know what your talkin about. The accent is a tad more thicker in the prologue but they both sound awesome. Heath didnt sound the same in every line as joker in TDK, so I dont think Bane is going to deliver all of his lines exactly the same either.

I loooved his voice in the prologue though, so original and unique. Its not what you would expect it to sound like

The way the mask looks in this scene, the tilt of Hardy's head, makes it look so freaky.

I love Bane's voice, even though I couldn't understand what he was saying in the prologue, but it wasn't just him. Almost all of the dialogue was hard to hear, mostly because of the audio mixing with IMAX's big speakers totally being overwhelmed by the sound of the plane.

I think his voice will grow on us the more we hear it. I personally think the "When Gotham is in ashes..." line is perhaps the most chilling of all three movies so far.

Actually i just posted a similar question in the Bane thread. I'm wondering if the voice in the trailer is even Tom's at all. Don't know if i'm really sold on it as of yet. To me, the voice doesn't fit his age at all reallly. I don't know anyone in their 30's that sounds like that, mask or no mask. It's usually as you get into your 60's+ that your voice gains more rasp and depth i think

Its definitely possible for a man in his 30's to sound deep and raspy

His voice of course sounds different depending on situation. Like someone said, Heath didn't sound the exact same as Joker all the time. Sometimes menacing, sometimes more playful.

I think Bane is actually showing some very dry humor in the prologue and it shows in his phrasing. I love that fact, that he has a that dryness, fits him well.

"Of course", "For You", "Perhaps he is wondering..." etc. :D

In the trailer he is sounding menacing to creep up Bruce. (And it creeps me up too)

I am sure he will reach for a pipe or blunt object here or there. I hope he just beats people with his hands.

Haha when I first read this I thought you were talking about weed. "Pipe." "Blunt."

Maybe thats why bane needs a breathing apparatus, hittin the trees too much

Well if you've seen the prologue, you'll hear how through the mask how his voice seems scratchy and a little altered--whatever that mask is doing to his vocal cords, that's what's doing a lot of the work...As for his dialect and accent, that's another story.

Yeah agreed

Well yeah, his voice has this kind of electronic sound

It's the best shot of the mask yet, IMO. It exudes a real movie monster vibe, looking like a demonic skull.

I actually like the accent. It sounds odd and could be cartoonish or "Bond-ish," but Hardy delivers it just dryly enough and with enough conviction you believe it. And, as seen in the trailer, it can become very menacing.

However....they really need to work on post in bringing it out or use a lot of ADR. Seriously, while I could understand 90% of what he said, I still had to strain my ears to catch it in the prologue and everyone I know has been complaining about how they have no idea what Bane is saying. If most of the audience spends the whole movie confounded by what the main villain is saying the whole time, then TDKR has a serious problem. Hopefully the concerns are being duly noted by Nolan and/or Warner Bros. and they fix it for the film.

One can hope.

I actually like how his voice isnt perfectly clear to hear. Makes you pay attention to what hes saying more. But I actually had no problem understanding him in the prologue besides one line. Plus that particular scene was very loud, it will be easier to hear him in other scenes where the score isnt blaring so loud
