Hardy was fun in Tinker Tailor, I found it enjoyable to watch him force himself to cry on que.

I'm about to get angry in here....so cut it out.

“Batman is such an amazing *franchise that I honestly feel *overwhelmingly privileged to be a part of it,” he said over a *cocktail with his fiancée actress Charlotte Riley, who he met on the set of 2009’s Wuthering Heights.

“It’s such an amazing cast to work alongside, they are all so *talented. I loved being able to play a baddie and, coming from East Sheen in South-West London, that doesn’t come easily to me. I actually had to work on not being very nice. I’m genuinely a nice guy.

“I’m not even thinking about how it’s *going to blow up for me after Batman. I’m just going to *enjoy it and I’m still going to be buying a pint of milk by *myself at the corner shop.”

Rather than *dreaming of Oscars glory, humble Tom’s mind is on more down to earth *matters... literally.

“My aim is to get an *allotment,” the 34-year-old said. “But where I live they are very *selective about who they give one to, so even when I get to Michael Caine levels of *acting I may not be able to have one.”

I think Conan is usually hilarious but that Bane skit was just lazy and terrible. A middle school kid idea.

Almost all of Conan's jokes are juvenile. That, and his self deprecation, is kinda of shtick.

Wow great interview with Tom he sounds truly appreciative of his involvement with the batman franchise.

I get that. But there is a difference between juvenile and putting actual effort into bits. Hopefully when Bane gets parodied more later this year it will actually be funny.

Eh, I thought it was funny, and I also thought his first parody about fan clips from TDKR was also hilarious.

Yeah that's actually really funny. The Bane skit though was terrible though.

There was just zero effort.

Ha, but a car with a Batman sticker and some raggy Batman costume was putting a lot of effort into it?

I dunno, I think you guys may like it, cause it's not "insulting" to the actor or the director.

or maybe...:wow::wow::wow:...people find humour in different things. I know i haven't laughed at a single episode of big bang theory...although seemingly millions of people enjoy that show every week.

Yes that actually did take more effort despite the absurdness of both being about the same. They actually got some props and made a silly interpretation of the leaked material and the reactions of the people filming it. Still it worked to a better effect.

As for your second presumption you thought wrong. This is what I wrote the last page:

I'm actually looking forward to some funny Bane voice parodies but that Conan skit was just horrible. They didn't even try.

I find a couple of the well done Batman voice parodies funny and I actually want to hear Bane voice parodies I just want them to be you know funny? I like how it's completely out of the question for you that someone just merely finds it lazy and failing to be comical because it isn't a very good imitation at that.

or maybe...:wow::wow::wow:...people find humour in different things. I know i haven't laughed at a single episode of big bang theory...although seemingly millions of people enjoy that show every week.

Exactly.

You mean humor is subjective? I never thought about that:o It was more of a question to get to the root of it, as I keep seeing, "the voice parodies were old before they were even made", or the last few have been, "there was barley any effort into making it", when, that last video doesn't seem to have a lot of time put into it either. When I keep seeing posts like that, you kinda have to question where peoples mindsets are coming from.

It's just a thought.

Right even if they specifically said they wanted more Bane voice parodies. Try not lumping everyone into the same pot.

It was a general thought, if you don't fall into that category, then you shouldn't be upset about it.

It definitely wasn't general as your remark was partly in response to the post I made right beforehand. You included me in it.

You automatically assumed it was because I had some stupid devotion to the actor thus I couldn't find the parody funny.

I like this:

And this:

They are, in my personal opinion funny ways to parody Bane's way of speaking, unlike the Conan parody.

This however is horrible, but I wanted to share it:

Yes, that was one of my ideas, which I thought I made perfectly clear. Your reasoning was about effort, and then I show another half assed Conan skit, and now you're saying there was more effort put into that. So yes, I questioned it, but obviously you don't fall into that category, so it shouldn't be an issue.

It's my job to delve into the phycology of jokes, it's what I do.

Ha, I haven't seen any of those, Munchie. Thanks.

Point blank, the Conan skit was lousy and unfunny because it required no actual effort and/or thought. Although I'm an introverted and incredibly serious individual, I do have a sense of humor, but that skit was far from hilarious.

Considering Bane's dialogue was crystal clear in the trailer, my guess is Conan jumped on the media blitz bandwagon. That's what journalists and comedians do for a living afterall.

Coincidently, this attention will only boost TDKR's popularity, and make those in the general audience more interested. At this point, Nolan's Bat trilogy has reached cultural status levels. A 'muffled' voice will hardly damage this film's and director's credibility.
