I didn't know they used a similar mesh design to MoS/BvS for the suit:

Looking at the various designs it's a mixture

It's cool to find happiness and enjoyment in a Superman unencumbered by the burden of being a novice versus seasoned hero, by being a complex individual versus a two-dimensional cartoon, or by being a supporting character on a 40 minute episode of a TV series versus a cinematic protagonist. However, to describe any other Superman who doesn't fit your preferred mold as not acting "like a real person" feels insulting to real people who aren't always "charming," as you describe. It suggests that when there are people in real life faced with challenges, and who don't react in a particular way that you approve of, that somehow their very humanity deserves to be invalidated. Maybe you didn't like the more troubled world, conflicts, and personal struggles other Supermen had to deal with in their stories, but that doesn't make them or anyone else inhuman or unreal. There's not just one way to be real or be human.

It's not that one seemed more like a real person than the other.
Basically it seemed like the TV Superman was a Midwestern kid who grew up on a farm and was raised by two loving parents.
While the recent movies Superman seemed like a kid who grew up in a grimey crime ridden city and who watched his parents get murdered by a street thug.

I never said he was only a 'real person' because he was charming, all I said was that he I liked seeing him walk and talk like a real person and by that I mean having casual conversations while walking down the street instead of every line being about a deeper complex issue.

I never said that having complex issues equals unrealistic however I do find the way the characters talk to be unrealistic in the Snyder films not the topics and themes they are discussing.

Trust me I very much understand there is more than one way to be a real human and I don't think I said there wasn't. Im not exactly sure what it is you are defending.

I wasnt trying to make this into a Snyder vs Tyler battle so please dont try turn it into one.

Well before I place a stamp on Tyler regarding the quality of his performance, I'd like to see on how he handles doing emotional scenes as Superman/Clark. Contrary to popular belief, Superman isn't a one dimensional character that's always happy and smiling.

I want to see if his Superman can go to the next level in episode 2.

The suit looks good, except for those weird cape attachments.

What I don't like are the vertical 'contour lines' running up and down the suit. Makes it look like it's patched together. But that's my only dislike

Well, he's holding Kara in the 'Death of Supergirl' pose, so he's going to have to emote some hard emotions there.

Have him scream like he did in Superman: The Movie when Lois was apparently dead.

Are you talking about the "S" or the suit's fabric? The fabric has the chainmail that the DCEu version has. But the "S", it's the classic S-Shield. Not a variations of the classic, or previous designs.

Did you guys see the promo to next week's episode? Hoechlin is killing it as Supes. I think he's my second favorite after Reeve. Please give him a season order CW. I need this Superman in my life.

Indeed. I finally got to watch the episode in its entirety last night. Grinning like a complete idiot the entire time. :D

And I hope - I really, really hope - next week's episode won't be the last we see of this Superman.

SAME! I was grinning like a fool. I was almost in tears when he started talking about the fortress and how he'd like to hear more about his parents. Him shaking hands with the DEO agents and thanking them---just perfect. This is the Superman I've been waiting for. I'm so glad he made me eat my words.

Ok, unless those guys were on drugs, this is dumb. Why are people in that world still trying to shoot or even punch Superman and Supergirl? Also, we get to see Supergirl and Superman handle street level crime. So once again, what's the point of Jimmy suiting up as Guardian?

Is it really necessary to destroy this car? Someone paid for it.

It's a mix of the one you posted and a dash of Chris Reeve's.

I was talking about the suit's fabric.
