The Dark Knight Rises What could make "BATMAN III" more epic then Dark Knight?

you don't seem to care about alot of things that spoil your arguments. one small scene does not register as a love intrest. were the girls bruce brought to the party love intrests in tdk? no.

my point is it's not THAT uncommon for an action movie to not have a romance sub-plot and not immpossible to make a batman movie without one. they do, they don't, i'm not gonna be that upset either way.

Not even close to the same thing.

The Nolan Bat films have come to a point where the love interest is no longer relevant...

Except for, you know, Catwoman.

Batman's most famous love interest.

I agree. Unless Ra's is there, which I doubt he will be, then no Talia.

Yep. absolutely nothing interesting about her visually unless she's standing next to Ra's and in front of hundreds of Ninjas in some silk dress.

No, Catwoman is the best place to go if you want love interest AND another villain type for Batman.

We've had a made-up love interest for Two movies just for her to die in the second(which I always knew was going to happen, Joker would kill her). Let's get to the most famous comic love interest of all time.

More Batman badassery. Stuff like him busting into the building in China and just taking names. Batman should be the focus of this film.

Who says Batman can't have a love interest in a film that develops the idea of isolation? That's actually kind of exactly what would need to happen.

Love interest, not girlfriend or wife.

She's a staple of the Batman mythos, and she needs to be in this franchise.

I honestly say bring in The Riddler. He's one villain I'd love to see under the direction of Nolan and maybe even have Zsaz as a possible main villain too.

I'd like to see more of Arkham Asylum in this movie and I'd also like to see what's going on in Gordon's life. Now, after the whole kidnapping situation in TDK, would be a great time to fit in the concept of him to have a divorce with his wife, like he does in the comics.

I think that Gordon's dysfunctional personal life will be a big part of B3, and it will parallel Bruce's life in many ways.:word:

you want Lois Lane in the movie? :oldrazz:

It would be epic to see escalation reach a new high. Lots of vigilantes and freaks taking to the streets, the last scraps of the mafia trying to retain what territory they have left, with Batman in the middle of taking them both down, but Gordon and the GCPD behind trying to take them all down.

Batman and Joker's confrontation might have been the metaphorical war for Gotham's soul, but I'm kind of expecting Gotham to be a true war zone in B3.

More epic than TDK....epic'er...?

Rioting, anarchy, and open gang warfare in the streets....the police department stormed and overtaken.....govt./Nat'l Guard declaring a lockdown/quarantine on the entire city, shutting down the entire power grid...and Batman restoring order through his own brand of martial law with the help of certain 'deputized' street gang members. Might be a good start

Yes, a No Man's Land-esque (minus an earthquake) setting would be so tight for Batman 3.

What would make for an even more effective climax in the third movie, then that of Dark Knight's???

All I want (preferably as the climax to the film) is a good, extended one-on-one fight between Batman and a villain that'll give him a run for his money. Batman vs Ra's was nice, but too short and too claustrophobic. I want a fight on a rooftop or something, with the camera pulled back. The one shot my mind keeps going back to is Bond trading blows with the free runner atop the crane in Casino Royale. Just one shot, pulled back far enough to show the scope and the danger of the fight.

They can certainly can come up with something great, especially since TDK's climax was more psychological and emotional. It felt less like a final battle than BB's climax.

good point...he fought ras a few times during the film and striked him down in the end but with joker it wa more like: i got you this time.....
now with knowing that the idea behind the hole arch of the nolan series was to keep the joker for the third movie, this ending made sense....
cause the focus was also on the relationships between harvey and rachel...wich came to an end.
now what could bring us the same intesitiy for ending such a story without the joker who was not finished yet...
i mean dead, being in a cell ok...
show this and go on with some other villain else but what makes it realy come to an end?
the dark knight had the perfect ending ...an open ending now we could bring in stories different actors about the tales of batman the way they like em to be....
but this is a hell of a job, not only to satisfy the audiences but story telling will be a very tricky one.

If The Riddler is the villain in the next movie, there's not going to be any epic fights with him. Only a handful of Batman's villains can challenge him physically.

Easy. Get Hans Zimmer to Score again. Man can make a movie where we stare at rachel's dead corpse seem like an epic.

yeah, I know JNH Also wrote underscore.

JNH has contributed more than underscore. He's roughly half of the scoring, though he had a little of an impact in TDK. I'd actually like for him to have more of a presence in the next film, if nothing else because I think he's a much better composer.

I thought underscore was the same as just regular scoring?:huh: I know Mel Wesson, Ramin Djawadi, and Gavin Greenway also contributed Additional Score.

Underscore is apart of the score, but when you refer to JNH as only doing that it makes it sound like he hasn't contributed much, as if he's only been doing "background music" this whole time. If that wasn't your intent, my mistake.
