The day Ridley Scott makes anything as wretched as the Thor films, I'll get offended he said that. Same goes for Mel, Lucas, Spielbergo, Scorsese and anyone else who blasts superhero films.

From what I recall, these directors have mostly shown indifference, only one director expressed feelings of hatred to the genre.

Anyways, I'm a fan of how these online opinions of online opinions of directors on certain movies dislike online opinions expressing dislike to certain movies.
Opinions of a director are either a gift to be referenced to and brought up as a calling card, or a reason to bash said director(s). They are good for laughs.

That movie was a steaming pile of garbage that was basically an excuse for Russell Crowe to make a movie with his friends from his terrible band. I think even Green Lantern is more fun to watch.

I don't give a **** about what Ridley Scott thinks about superhero movies. He's made enough good stuff that he can say what he wants. If it was someone like Roland Emmerich who said it it would seem more petty.
