How did you manage to respond to my post with that? Literally no part of my post had to deal with Kinberg, the MCU or Deadpool.

those wanting new creative team online often say that because they want X-men to be just like deadpool or MCU.

and very unlikely if FF didn't hurt kinberg that apocalypse will cause fox to
fire him.Singer is probally gone now.

I havent seen the movie yet, but just from what ive seen of the trailers, the fact that this is the 3rd film with some of the cast that include a couple Oscar nominees/winners (do actor's salaries count in the production budget?) I can tell this is a 200 mill+ movie

Chances are the oscar nominees/winners ain't being payed the full amount they would if they were not on contract.

You would be surprised what they can do with a budget, transformers 3 cost $195 mil.

Apocalypse already had a pretty low budget for a summer comic book tentpole with $178m. They can't go much lower than that.

sure they can.doudfull next X-men film rather it a reboot or sequel to apocalypse will have budget higher than 160 million.

People want a creative team who will adapt the X-Men and use their potential like Miller did Deadpool. Not make X-Men like Deadpool.

It's all about using the characters to their potential. Not replicating another film. That's how this franchise will succeed and make more money...along with strong scripts.

I think McAvoy, Fassbender and Hoult will come back (I think Assassin's Creed might flop) and Lawrence will go. And if you didn't like her in the role (I did) that's a good thing and if you did that's probably a bad thing to most. I liked her and I'm cool with her not coming back. I don't see Mystique being a permanent member of the X-Men anyway. I think the character will do good on her own.

That's the best way to explain it but marvelrobbins always takes what people are saying the wrong way.

"Like Deadpool/MCU" = adapt it in a similar way, or better. Not make it a carbon copy, it's not that hard to understand.

And again with the internet comments - just let those comments go.

True but I still dont think this was made for less than 200 mill. For sure not something as low as 178.

The story needs to be scaled back anyway. We've had the 'end of the world' disaster porn. We now need to get to know the new characters. Bring on the shopping mall sequences, lol...

But the posters on CBM and IMDB reflect the majority of audiences. Clearly there is no agenda :o

I am surprised at all the negativity and proclamations of doom and gloom.

This is bad, but Fox also had a huge hit with Deadpool, The Wolverine 3 is right around the corner, and this is the first X-Men movie to underperform since 2011. Fox isn't about to reboot it all or just go crawling to Marvel like Sony did, because unlike Sony (or Fox in Fantastic Four's case), they built a pretty sturdy foundation that has survived for 16 years.

There will be consequences and fallout, but fans wringing their hands that this is the end of the franchise or that a reboot is imminent... it's very chicken little.

With that said, if Kinberg continues writing them, because I do suspect that Singer is done, the franchise might be in real trouble if the next one performs like this.

I feel like a lot of people really underestimated how much the GA only watches these movies for Wolverine. The BO isn't particularly surprising to me in that way.

So im in the theater for the 3d showing annd... no one is here. Not a good sign.

Yes they count. FC cast signed 3 picture contracts. Even if they renegotiated it (which I don't think so), only Lawrence would command a 10+ million pay day. Fassbender shouldn't make more than a 5 million TOPS. No way you are paying McAvoy and Hoult that much.

Oscar Isaac signed before 2015. He should be 5-8 million tops. Rose Byrne didn't do much, and could have easily been had for a few million, especially if she only shot for a few weeks. JLaw made 500k for FC, where she had to go under 8hrs of make up + she already had an oscar nomination in Winter's Bone. Sophie, Tye, Alex, Kodi are probably making 1 million tops. Total actor salary would probably only be 30-40 million before any back end deals, and thats assuming JLaw is paid 10+ million.

It was kind of bad timing. Fox finally decide to go global destruction at a time audiences are more than happy seeing intimate finales with small stakes (Deadpool and Civil War). Makes Apocalypse seem 'been there done that'.

Even Batman vs. Superman was small scale in the end.

Kinberg is already on my ****list because of the Fan4stick debacle. I'm ready for him to step back.

We seem to be talking about this as if Apocalypse has already reached the end of its run in the theaters.

I personally think they should decide the topic/story of the next movie first before they decide to let Singer go or not. His skill set obviously does not work for those extremely cgi heavy action movies. He has been entirely over his head! I am worried that "The Dark Phoenix Saga" would fail similarly to 'X-Men Apocalypse'. Emotionally we would get some beautiful moments for sure, but aesthetically I doubt Singer can bring it to create an aesthetically pleasing space opera!

But if they will decide to do something more political relevant and grounded like "X-Tinction Agenda" or the "Mutant Massacre" (AND THEY SHOULD DO THAT!) they have to bring Singer back 100 % to adapt it again! He would give us a critically-acclaimed beautiful X-Men movie.

Again, I don't think that people are fed up with Singer's grounded X-Men approach. I think the problem was that the trailer made it look like a cheesy cgi mess of a colorful superhero movie! (and at was exactly this!)

It's not even good disaster porn. That's the problem.

People like epic global action when done right.

Judging by the $400 mil the wolverine made with 3D... not as many as you might think

I do think fox would reboot.difference with sony is sony is in such bad shape.hell they may even lose distribution rights to james bond. They basicly went on hands and knees to marvel and disney and gave up control of spider-man for sony distrubting SPider-man film.Fox isn't going to do that.
Singer will be gone but kinberg and Donner will remain although there is question if Donner is really doing any work on films anymore.

excluding deadpool the wolverine solo film may be end of franchise has it has exsisted for 16 years.I am not happy about it.
