Yeah, because all of the 90s kids will accept this version of the TMNT:o

Give me animated 2003s version any hour of the day and I'm happy!

The 90s show was huge and many including myself grew up with it, and even when the first film came out there were people saying hey where is krang? and i was one of those who felt that was silly because krang was created from the Original toon and not part of the original source material but there was so many people who assumed TASM movies are based on the old toon and that we had to get characters like krang in one of these movies

And now they went fully 80s/90s toon on it and if it flops i will be surprised because this is what many wanted.

Also, GuestStar -- I remember seeing you in the Spidey forum, how come you don't post in there anymore?

Damn, XA open 50% higher than DOFP in China and had good review. But Warcraft will hurt his legs. Missing opportunity.

This seriously lost to that chick flick euthenaisa movie? for second place?

I'm actually now interested to watch that chick flick. I haven't seen a chick flick in a theater since Crazy Stupid Love.

EDIT: I forgot I watched Paper Towns, last year :p

So I guess the floor for XA is now $550 million? Unless it got terrible legs there.

Anyway that should make-up for the lower opening weekend gross in America and the other big markets like UK, Australia, Mexico, Russia, France and Brazil.

While i kinda liked the Spider-man in Civil War and thought they did a pretty good job of capturing the character i got abit spider-man fatigued with all that sony stuff and just haven't heard anything yet about whats going on that makes me wanna talk about spider-man currently

Well except for the feeling that aunt may is gonna be tony starks new love interest and thats probably why they cast her young which i dunno how i feel about that

I will say betwenn 550 and 600 million but we have to wait next week and see the drop with Warcraft. I thought, it was higher in Brasil and Russia ?

How do you KNOW what Singer intended before supposedly 'giving in to whiny fanboy talk'?

Psylocke's outfit was hardly the cause of the film's mixed reception. The lack of characterisation was an issue though - surveys showed 24 per cent of people went to see the movie because they liked Olivia Munn and that Psylocke was the sixth most popular mutant in the movie. Yet we got a silent henchwoman.

Storm was the third most popular mutant in the movie. What happened to her characterisation?

Since most of the 'whiny fanboys' wanted strong roles for Storm and Psylocke before the movie - and definitely whined after the movie that this had not happened, I'm not sure who Singer was listening to.

Storm and Psylocke have been mentioned more than Mystique, according to this social media analysis.

No one on here was whining for Storm, Jubilee, Angel and Psylocke to be shafted in the characterisation/dialogue/personality departments, and no one was whining for Apocalypse's characterisation to be reduced to soap-box speeches. Had those things been sorted out (ie better villain, better screentime balance), then the film would have been better and so would the reviews....

If only surveys like that dictate which characters should get a lot of screentime.:csad:

Psylocke was the most anticipated character after Quicksilver in a Rotten Tomatoes poll! And the first video review I saw was from Collider... and the female critic (who submits reviews in RT), said Psylocke was most dissapointed with Psylocke. :( The world was waiting for her big screen domination! And there was also a video on IGN about how Fox wasted Psylocke!

Nope. I compared the opening weekend gross from countries to DOFP before and posted it here and no, Apocalypse's OW wasn't even close to DOFP's OW in those countries.

I think we're going to start getting more and more block-buster overload/burnout. It seems almost every week there's "the new big blockbuster" out.

There's already some big movie's I've been wanting to see but me and my friends just don't have the cash and time to go every week to see another film.

I'm actually good until Star Trek Beyond. TMNT2, Warcraft, Now You See Me 2, Finding Dory, Independence Day Resurgence, Ghostbusters can all wait for me until Netflix.

Yes and it should be a lesson to Hollywood executives.

But personally, I love it. I'm trying to watch more summer movies this year compare to the last 3 to 4 years!:ilv:

I'm watching The Conjuring 2 this weekend and I cannot wait! The early reviews are good. The first one was totally scary and I just saw it on HBO and I couldn't sleep after that. And I don't ever plan to buy the DVD of the sequel, well I don't have the DVD of the first one, because its so freaking scary and I don't want a physical copy of that movie in my freaking room okay! But I'm seeing it on cinema this week because I don't want to wait for it to be shown in HBO and I don't want to buy a copy of it and scared myself in my own house.

I also cannot wait to see Ghostbusters and Beyond :ilv: and I'm planning to watch Through the Looking Glass, Finding Dory 2, The Legend of Tarzan, Continental Drift, Suicide Squad, Jason Bourne, Resurgence even though I have a feeling some of them won't be great.

Like I watched OUt of the Shadows last Friday and I knew it was not gonna be good and I had zero expectation and I ended up enjoying it. Though I also saw Warcraft and its totally the worse movie of the year for me so far, worse than BvS and Winter's War.

X-Men needs to involve more minorities especially Asian's. They love this crap it'll help the box office even more representation matters

Iron Man, Iron Man 3, The Winter Soldier, Guardians of the Galaxy, Ant-Man and Civil War. I count more then 3. :cwink:

And the issue is not "how many great movies", but "how many movies better than Fox's average". I would argue the only "great" X-Men movie to date is Deadpool, and maybe X2 *if* you grade on a curve for era of release. Otherwise, they tend to top out at "good" IMO. First Class was a good movie, but I wouldn't put it as an equal to any of the top tier Marvel movies. It just stands out for actually showing quality, and the potential for future quality. Days of Future Past then. . . largely jogged in place from said start.

Age of ultron is why I don't want whedon anywhere near X-men films. However i find it very unlikely whedon would ever work for fox.and then there is issue of
him possibly wouldn't be allowed to write script.

now if you want action sequenzes like CGI video games.or plenty of cheesy humor and a lot less drama.and crazy romantic parings then whedon is your
guy.

Honestly, that sounds like exactly the thing you'd want for a slightly less grim take on the classic Claremonte era. It wasn't all dark depressing drama, it also had a lot of soap opera antics.

Why does it matter what people say here, though? If they know they are wrong anyways. MCU fans have nothing to prove -- the MCU is winning right now.

I'm pretty sure X-Men movies may be badmouthed here and there in MCU boards, do X-Men board posters show up there white knighting them too? Maybe I'm mistaken and they are. If so I understand.

1. People are free to make arguments here. . . and if they make an argument, others are free to make counterarguments. So, no, if people here wish to bring up the MCU as part of their claims and complaints, its bad form to try and argue that others can't actually respond to those claims.

2. Actually, yes, there are regularly lots of Fox fans showing up on the MCU boards, typically trying to denigrate and underplay the success and quality of the Marvel movies.
