So I guess the floor for XA is now $550 million? Unless it got terrible legs there.

Anyway that should make-up for the lower opening weekend gross in America and the other big markets like UK, Australia, Mexico, Russia, France and Brazil.

You know, grosses can vary with exchange rates. Because, this article said XMA did better than other X-Movies in Russia.

Also, a poster on Box Office Theory mentioned that XMA opened bigger in Mexico than DOFP in local currency.

XMA lost major ground in the UK, France, and Australia. But ERs are part of the story in some markets.

Good news is with 402 million WW it has outgrossed WW X-men,Origins,and First Class.it is gaining on X2-407 Million WW The Wolverine-414 Million WW and Last Stand 459 Million.

It's 286 Million overseas is third best overseas money for X-men film after deadpool and DOFP

Since fox spent 160 Million on First class and it made 353 Million WW and 120 million on the wolverine and it made 414 million WW and both of them got sequels.so odds are good for another full X-men film with at least the new cast members of apocalypse.however what would be in film who knows right now.

Gitesh still thinks $650 million is possible.

I think he's nuts but there it is, anyhow.

He's been overestimating every movie since BvS.

Would need $30 million to beat XM:FC's domestic total.

I wonder why he thinks 650 million is possible? Nobody else seems to think that.

Yeah, how is 650m possible?
It's at 400 million now. How much more it will make DOM/International/China and what are the expectations for Japan?

At least it passed FC lol

Does that number include China?

Nope, so it's currently 402 + 60 from China,

It'll probably get another 7-8 from Japan when it's out there in August (WTF, August?)

It'll have no problem clearing 500 at least imo. It's going to be pretty easily the second highest grossing X-Men film after DOFP. (i dont really count Deadpool; that's its own thing)

Well at least it will definitely make 500 million ww now maybe 600 if it's got legs

Are we sure that the 402 doesn't count China? It is tough to tell, because Mojo hasn't updated the individual countries yet.

If it weren't for Warcraft, I think Apocalypse could have a nice run in China, as I don't think it would be received as badly as BvS. Here's hoping Warcraft doesn't cause a BvS style collapse.

It seems based on the OS performance. Brevet at BOM is coming up with the same number:

Internationally, however, X-Men: Apocalypse is delivering. The film brought in an estimated $84.4 million this weekend, which includes an estimated $59 million in China, the second largest Fox opening in China behind only the Titanic re-release and $20 million more than Days of Future Past opened with. The film's international total is now up to $286 million, bringing its global cume to just over $400 million, currently placing it within the top ten for 2016. Should this trend continue, Apocalypse would end somewhere around $650 million globally, which is about $100 million less than Days of Future Past.

I guess we'll see.

I'm glad about China but what do you guys think about next weekend over there? How much do you see it dropping. More/Less than equivalent DOFP timing?

Yeah, it was around 291 million yesterday. So, the movie did around 110m in the USA/International (without China)?

So, with China the movie so far is 461?

Okay I guess over 600mil doesn't look like a bad guess. The Chinese numbers have already been added to the global total. Mojo just hasn't updated completely. Warcraft is probably going to kill the film in China next weekend.

Hope so. I've noticed internationally, it's done better on the territories where reviews were kind. Like China and India.

BoxOffice ‏@BoxOffice 31m31 minutes ago X-MEN: APOCALYPSE made an estimated $84.41M overseas this weekend, for a $281.01M overseas / $402.51M global total. #XMenApocalypse

It includes China. Read the article. But still very nice. I can see this pushing over 600 now too, unless legs are disastrous.

China actually pulled $116,490,000 on a $39,350,000 opening for DOFP. People are predicting the competition to bring the pain but we'll see what happens. I feel like some of the negativity towards this movie's box office hopes is wishful thinking.

Sequel! Sequel! Sequel! ;)

I need "Uncanny X-Men: New Beginnings" (2018) ASAP!

Good news about China. Fox will be happy X-Men is popular there as the market is growing rapidly (unlike the US which is stale).

Warcraft will probably be huge there so X-Men could take a hit.
