They've been majority great with casting with this franchise, imo. Hope that continues with apocalypse

It's best when thinking about this film to expect singers apocalypse and not the comics apocalypse, just like we got singers sentinels and not the comic sentinels, they will have comic elements but likely to be a totally new version

His sentinels were the most terrifying villains in Comic book movie adaption.
Sebastian Shaw was right on the money as well.

I've liked their past two renditions

Same here!

And I can feel their passion for using Apocalypse in the upcoming film, so fingers cross that he will turn out to be a great character in a X-Men film!

I wonder how much input Singer had upon Shaw's characterization. I feel like his twisted father-son dynamic with Erik would've been something that Vaughn had a big hand in it given how much Vaughn liked and focused on the character of Magneto.

That being said, Singer's villains are more or less well-written and well-casted. Stryker's been so good they've used him in multiple movies and Cox played him excellently, Shaw was great and the Sentinels were well-realized. As was Dinklage as Trask. Even Ratner did a serviceable job with Warren Worthington II. He's a character that would've worked fine in a Singer X-Men film. The franchise has done well with its antagonists despite it's focus on Magneto near the third act of a bunch of the films.

I think Singer enjoys really working with villains with tremendous amounts of depth or that he can use to enhance his film's themes and Apocalypse is definitely one of those antagonists whom Singer I feel like can really dig his teeth into as he did with Stryker and Magneto. Shaw and Trask as good as they were felt a bit constrained because they had to delegate focus to Magneto and the actual Sentinels themselves, but with an actual villain to fight this time (as well as the Four Horsemen) I think we'll see a really great villain in Apocalypse.

I undertand that Apocalypse is highly advanced in terms of science and technology and that is a believer in the survival of the fittest. But that seems very vague to me. Who is he exactly and what drives him? I've only seen him in the 90s animated series, and he came off a bit silly in that.

A shame fox doesn't have rights to Rama-tut.I am ssuming they don't since although he started as FF villain since he became kang In comics he is probally In Marvel's house.Coming from far future it would allow Apocalypse to be ahead by having access to far far future
technilogy.Just imagine APocalypse having advanced ship and Magneto forcing it down.
Although since they have already done time travel In DOFP they might not want to have apocalypse having access to technolgy someone from far far future brought back.

Apocalypse got celestial tech. That'a basically the best there is.

My thing is not only is Apocalypse supposed to be a global threat but he's also supposed to be believable charismatic leader. He's supposed to get squadrons of people to back him and his claims. The evil in his message should be cryptic enough so that his followers don't get the full ramifications of his twisted plot until it's too late. And even then most are brainwashed in their own hunger for glory and power.

Hundreds of thousands of soldier's such be ready and willing to fight for his prominence as he is so elite in his own mind battles with mortals insults his presence.

He doesn't want to just rule the world. But purge and rebuild it. Establishing a society that through hardship should bring out the best in Phusual acumen and prowess.

I would imagine Rama-tut/Kang would be one of those shared characters, like Viper/Madame Hydra or Quicksilver. Though I imagine there is still a question of whether they can use FF stuff with their X-men stuff.

Apocalypse charismatic? The only time I remember being anything like that was when he was pretty much out of character for the Blood of Apocalypse story. I don't see "join me or die" or offering them a Faustian deal being charismatic.

The best way to view Apocalypse's ideology is that he doesn't care whether it is human or mutant. The goal, is to have only one species left.

that site is the sh*** They created the Deadpool news for Comic Con along with other false articles.
Sites like that should be deleted

it's a largely Korean site, so how would they know?

Totally fake.
Anybody who watched DOFP knows Logan will be horseman.

1:If archangel were to be In Apocalypse I don't think Ben Foster would play him. That creates too much of contunity problems even with Kinberg's characters could be born earlier comments.
2:Holocaust,Exodus,and Selene I wouldn't totaly dismiss as horseman especilly Holocaust since he's apocalypse's son and was featured heavily In Age of Apocalypse
3:But,no Wolverine or Mystique as horseman I found hard to believe

I alos find it hard to believe there will have 4 or 5 different groups In film

X-Men
Magneto and Brotherhood
Apocalypse and his forces
Mystique
possably those in human factions

They said DOFP leads to Apocalypse, and Kinberg said we should look at end of DOFP.

I'm pretty certain he was talking about the post credit scene.

I would be very happy with that list, especially with Selene, even if it is fake, Selene is one of my favourite villains and would be really cool to see as Pestilence. Also, I think her powers would lend themselves to being a horseman that has lasted through time with Apoc due to her stealing life from others. then she has powers to fight every single X-Man alone.

Selene is good enough to be a villain all on her own. I'd hate if they wasted her as one of the four horsemen.

Like my idea for Sinister she could easily get away in Apoc and show up in the future as a fully fledged solo villain :D

I kinda want to see Holocauste but i don't think he will be in Apoc .

Holocaust is a bit obscure. I think he'd look great on film, but there are a bunch of other characters that would work a lot better and are more familiar to audiences.
