They're probably just securing actors like Marvel do but I heard that Fan Bingbing signed a 5 movie deal with Fox as Blink, with all the talk of a young nightcrawler it's unlikely she'll be in Apocalypse but you never know

I wouldn't take that to mean anything really.

It's typical in this day and age for big franchises to sign actors for multiple movies, that doesn't mean that actor will appear in all those movies just that the option is there if the studio wants them to.

^ Fan BingBing was great! She would really come in handy with a future Apocalypse story line, but she'd be on the villain's side, right?

I imagine Singer saying to the FOX execs "we'd like to run with a villain called Holocaust" got a swift no. You can't do that

I don't think Singer would even want to use him.:o

Part of me wants Xavier as a Horseman to look like Onslaught, and then Apocalypse will somehow separate Onslaught from Xavier and call him Holocaust.

Luckily, he's been renamed a few times. Nemesis has been used for figures of him, and recently, a new 616 version was brought out, named Genocide.

If anyone still doudts Bryan Singer will be doing APocalypse because of law suit It continues to fall apart.Accusor Michael Egan Is fighting his lawyer's attempt to drop him as client and now has filed motion to drop suit against Singer without prejudice that would allow him to refile suit at later time.

One of other 3 people Egan also filed suits at but had it dismissed Is now suing Egan with malicious prosecution.

Singer's motion to dismiss egan's suit Is with prejudice which would open the door for Singer to be able to sue egan with malicious prosecution.

The case collorpses as Singer and other 3 sued have witness and records proving they weren't In Hawaii as Egan claimed.More damaging was a 2003 suit Egan was involved with he testified he had never been to Hawaii and he was only ever abused by others which didn't include Singer or those other 3 he was suing this year.Plus he swore in 2003 deposition that he never had sexual contact with one of the others that now he claimed sexualy abused him.

You can see why Singer has been regurly tweeting again.

WB just announced a ton of movies between now and 2020. Add that to Marvels lot and Sonys and Foxs and we may get implosion soon enough.

I hope Fox can keep up with this increase. Would hate for them to get list in the shuffle

I don't see any problem for Fox. As long as they're releasing 1 to2 Marvel pics a year then they're fine. With X-Men & FF they shouldn't have a problem doing that.

I don't know. We are looking at about 6 superhero movies a year. Of course we don't know the full layout of what DC's plan is, but a fear of the bubble popping isn't something to dismiss. At least DC's films aren't close to this movie.

Apocalypse Is still opening same day as alice In WOnderland sequel. That's the immedate concern. If alice 2 Is maleficent revisted it could hurt Apocalypse.

Marvel studios has scheduled a film now a week before whatever the mystery 2018 X-Men related film Is.

I maintain I don't like studios setting release dates for films they won't tell us what they are.Announce release dates when you can say what films you are doing.

Yeah that Alice 2 battle will be interesting. FOX need to really bring it home. FOX seems confident in that memorial day week for their x films. DC moved to a less crowded place in march. I would bet FOX would still make a ton of money if they released Apocalypse in July/August.

Marvel studios will be releasing a film In July 2016. The next planet of the apes film Is set for late july 2016 and who knows what WB Is doing post BVS.

Fox may show more guts and not move Apocalypse.

I don't really buy this "bubble popping"/superhero fatigue worry. If these studios keep making decent/interesting movies then people are gonna keep seeing them. It'd be different if the same characters were being seen every single year. But that's not the case. Their appearances(for the most part) are spread out well enough IMO.

Musicals and Westerns were popular once too. I know Marvel's release schedule may have burnt me out on their films.

And honestly, I don't think the issue is that they will all fail. Out of six movies, are they all going to be successful to the degree they want? Or will there be one that flops hard. What happens when one of these films fails hard, and what will that do with these very aggressive production schedules?

I'm just going to state it outright. Fox should alternate their franchises with 2-3 a year and go with Deadpool and X-Men one year and then Wolverine, X-Force and Fantastic Four the next.

Sony is only doing one a year. So you're looking at 9-10 weeks out of 52 that will have a superhero film. That's not a whole lot and it means that at the very least, two months a year won't have a superhero film.

Starting in 2018, we're probably getting X-Force and that's all that's confirmed. It's coming in June.

2019 is almost confirmed to have Deadpool. I feel like 2019 can also have an X-Men sequel. I'd put X-Men in July and then Deadpool in September. July lacks any CBMS and September is a dump month where a risky property like Deadpool can stand out.

2020 would be where the Fantastic Four get a third movie alongside Wolverine and X-Force. I'd avoid DC's films in April, June and November by putting X-Force in May, Fantastic Four in August and then I'd place Wolverine in December.

Repeat this same cycle since Deadpool won't appear the same year as X-Force, and Wolverine and the Fantastic Four won't appear the same year as the X-Men. That solves the problems with scheduling and ensures that the X-Men and FF won't release within the same year to avoid overexposing Fox's two biggest franchises.

And for the record, going forward, Fox should focus on March, August, and December. Disney likes May, July and November. Warner likes April, June and November. This way, Fox can get a film out for the Holidays that'll be released near Christmas and completely dodge November from here on out.

Sony still has September and October to choose from. With Marvel wanting to do franchises out of Doctor Strange and likely Ghost Rider and Blade as well, Marvel would probably pick October. Sony should shoot for September.

If the studios are smart, they'll do this. If they're dumb, they'll crowd everything into the summer and November and then burn themselves out with oversaturation. Plus, this strategy ensures that the only dump months will by January and February.

They've for the most part been doing one every two years. I think Dashers idea of alternation with several film series as the best. They couldn't maintain one X-Men movie each year but could manage a solo and team each each follows by a different solo and different team the following them repeat. So basically just filling I. The gap when not releasing a sequel the next year

June 2018 Pixar has a Untitled Movie coming out on that day it may be Incredibles 2

I would be okay if Fox releases two comic-book film a year that are Marvel based, well they are already doing that in 2017. But for me, I would be okay with just 1. Counting Marvel-based/DC films, we'll get - 6 films in 2016, 7 films in 2017 and 7 films in 2018. I didn't count Venom/the spin-off female led Spidey film yet. With so many comic-book films (that are DC/Marvel based) coming out in those years, I have a feeling at least 1 of them might get lost in the shuffle. So Fox shouldn't worry about keeping up with the amount of the CB films the other studios are releasing.

Plus a lot of things could change in the next 5 years, like if they are moving TASM3 from 2016 to 2018 and moving up BVS date in 2014. Who knows what will happen when they finally released some of their upcoming films in 2016/2017/2018/2019 or if their competitors changed the release dates for their films.

And for the record, going forward, Fox should focus on March, August, and December. Disney likes May, July and November. Warner likes April, June and November. This way, Fox can get a film out for the Holidays that'll be released near Christmas and completely dodge November from here on out.

December is going to have Star Wars and Avatar films starting from 2016. So I don't see a CB film being released in December.

There's a very real chance of CBM fatigue setting in with the rapid releases by Marvel, DC and to some extent Sony, especially if the quality dips. We've already seen Sony drop the ball with ASM2, and DC have had a divisive record to say the least. And really, it is a matter of time until the MCU becomes so tangled that it's hard to dip in (especially as Infinity Gauntlet approaches).

My big worry though is that FOX could miss the boat on this one. They've been sitting on Deadpool, X-Force etc for a while, and by the time they wake up and see that CBMs are popular right now, it could be too late...
