well if they make mcavoy and fassbender look older then it will be done with make up, if they make make stewart and mckellen look younger it would have to be by CGI

but if they are playing 40 or 50 year olds they don't to be full of wrinkles and all grey, i think its an over thinking misconception

even in X3 (2006) and origins (2009) they had to CGI stewart to look younger

It definitely works better on McKellen than on Stewart, at least imo.

The Next X-Men Will Recast Storm, Cyclops, and Jean Grey
In a fan Q&A session at Yahoo, X-Men: Days of Future Past writer Simon Kinberg says the franchise is done with Halle Berry, James Marsden, and Famke Janssen

That headline is more harsh than what Kinberg actully said.

He never said the franchise Is done with them.He said if Cyclops,Jean, and storm were In APocalypse In 1980's they would be recast since it's 20 years before X1.

You need the sensational headline though. That one takes the cake. Sorry Psylock.... thanks for the clarification though Marvel.

has this part of the yahoo interview with kinberg been posted? i don't remember it

Magneto and Charles' relationship at the end of Days of Future Past: "At the end of the movie [Magneto] flies away without his helmet, with the implication that he’ll go off and continue to be Magneto in some form, but not be able to hide it from Charles, who‘ll be able to read his mind and track him. There’s a truce of some kind between Charles and Magneto, but there’s a part of Magneto that will always be the Magneto we know from the comics."

How Wolverine will still get his adamantium claws, possibly offscreen: "We don’t see it because he doesn’t pop his claws at the end of the movie [but like with elements of the story] perhaps how he got his claws is different. But he lands ultimately in the same destination."

How Mystique could still be Nightcrawler's mother in this continuity: "Since Azazel was killed, does this mean that Mystique gave birth to Nightcrawler in the time between ‘First Class’ and ‘DOFP’? All I will say is that ten years transpired between ‘First Class’ and ‘DOFP’, so anything is possible. She’s a young woman in her 20s going on 30s… and I will leave it at that."

Magneto is indeed Quicksilver's father: "It is a fascinating relationship. Erik grew up without a family, it’s such a huge part of him, of his mission. So the idea of exploring what it means for Magneto to be a father and reconnect with a son many years after his birth, is fascinating and certainly something that would be interesting to explore in future films."

The "future" characters from X-Men: Days of Future Past won't return in X-Men: Apocalypse: "‘Apocalypse’ really follows the stories of the ‘First Class’ mutants, so in future X-Men films, perhaps, but in ‘Apocalypse’, it’ll really be the younger generations."

Whether an X-Men 4 will ever actually happen: "I’m entirely focused on ‘Apocalypse’ and hopefully the best film in the franchise [but] it would be lovely to work with the original actors again. Perhaps, but right now it’s all ‘Apocalypse’."

Psylocke nearly made an appearance in X-Men: Days of Future Past and may be in X-Men: Apocalypse: "She’s a fan favourite, and also a favourite of mine. We have a small part that she plays in ‘Last Stand’, and we talked about including her in ‘DOFP’ quite seriously actually. There was a version of the script she was in and we even auditioned some actors in Montreal. But we didn’t feel there was enough of a part she would play in a movie that was already full of many, many mutants. She has a cool power. I know Bryan thinks she’s a neat character so there’s certainly a chance she’ll be in an ‘X-Men’ movie some day. Hopefully there’ll be a lot of ‘X-Men’ movies and there’s lot of mutants we’re yet to fully explore onscreen, even if they’ve had cameos before. Now we’re making more films there’s a chance to dig deeper."

So might Scarlet Witch: "When we made ‘DOFP’ there is a reference to her in the scene when they’re at Quicksilver’s house, but we ended up pulling it out because like a lot of things it had to be sacrificed for the main momentum of the film. It’s a character we all love, because everyone loves Quicksilver so much. The more we can do to explore his family, the better. So maybe."

Oh, and thankfully, Cable too: "We also talked about including him in ‘DOFP’. I will say, we love the character, we’d love to find a place for him in these movies, but I cannot confirm or deny which characters will actually be in ‘Apocalypse’ until I read some spoilers!"

“The thrust of ‘Apocalypse’ is really to complete the trilogy we began with ‘First Class’ - to complete the stories of young Raven, young Hank, younger Charles and Erik. And complete this trilogy of four people who began the films sort of disparate and in different worlds…[and who] we’ve followed through the span of decades. So that’ll be the thrust. There will be familiar characters and new characters that we haven’t seen…ever…but it’ll be the completion of what we began in ‘First Class’.”

That was only just posted on Yahoo today. ;)

so what did we learn here

Apocalypse Is indeed more the completion of trilogy and will truly have main focus on Xavier,Magneto,Mystique, and to lesser extent Beast

Cable,Psylocke, and Scarlet Witch are possibilty for future films although that doesn't mean they will be In Apocalypse

Wolverine may get his adamanturm In between DOFP and Apocalypse

Magneto Is indeed Quicksilver's father and it's hinted he could be with Magneto whereever he is at In Apocalypse

They could go into Mystique being nightcrawler's mother In future.

They are keeping another film with original cast as a possibilty. So much for headlinge the franchise is done with James Marsden,Famke Janssen, and Halle Berry. But,that's not Kinberg's fault for that headline.

With all the characters Kinberg has brought up as possibilty It's good thing Bryan Singer is around to keep them from adding too many characters like the Last Stand.

if its offscreen the whole time travel ripple would be kinda pointless since we won't see it anyway

oddly reading into what kinberg says i dunno where the inbetween DOFP and Apocalypse came from since he doesn't say that he just says it could happen differently but he will land in the same destination, i assumed he mean't his life won't change and he still ends up with the X-MEN

kinberg is likely keeping hush hush about alot of things

as he says untill spoilers get out into the open he can't or won't say anything

kinberg has said he would like to use Mr sinister as a villain for another film

we will have to wait and see who these "familiar characters and new characters that we haven’t seen…ever" are

They'll be playing catch in the backyard in no time.

Stick her with X-Force.

I'll take this "maybe" as a yes.

I really hope Scarlet Witch is in it. I'd love to see them both being in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Fox X-Men Universe at the same time.

Poor James Marsden, never getting to fulfill his full Cyke-ly duty.

Despite everyone working on the films saying the original cast can come back, everyone assumes Fox is done with them… When in fact, based on this quote, it sounds like the First Class cast may be done after Apocalypse. The filmmakers have always maintained that this would be a trilogy.

kinberg did say something about possibly a film following the first X-men after apocalypse, so almost passing the story onto them

Actully there could be both.Another film set after apocalypse-which depends
on how many FC actors they could get back,or film with original cast.

If X-force happens, and that's still questenable,it could take place after Apocalypse.

I have heard more knowledge people say based on what they heard James Mcavoy Is likely to agree to return post apocalypse but the rest are questable.

With timeline being changed now If they do another film with original cast it
would be future of FC world.

Actully people associated with production from summer 2013 through press of DOFP have said more with original cast Is possable. So who knows.

Yeah, it's hard to say where they will go. My point is that a lot of people seem to be making assumptions and placing the future of the franchise in a box (in the past exclusively), but I really don't think any of us have a clear idea where they will go beyond Apocalypse.

It's possible, but that's not how I read the quote. The First Classers are the first generation, not the next generation. Maybe you're right and that's what he meant… We will just have to wait and see. Ultimately, Kinberg doesn't control the direction of the films, and I have heard Singer, Donner, Parker, and Kinberg himself say opposing things from this quote.

He kind of does.
