Apocalypse X-Men Apocalypse News and Discussion - Part 1

I think Mr. Sinister is next X-Men villain after 'Apocalypse' movie, so Scott and Jean will be explored, maybe even Cable, as Sinister wanted to use him against Apocalypse.

Kinberg shouldn't left school.
As for Rogue, give her flying and super strenght as second mutation, as they did with Kitty and her new power. And travel her with Cable to past in next movie after Apocalypse, that she could met Gambit or we will never see her fighting in action. I don't count BluRay cut, I want to see it at cinema.

Cable's sexy future girlfriend. That would not only be awesome, it would also let them explore her relationships with Gambit, Magneto and Mystique.

Mr. Sinister would be really great to see. Other than Apocalypse, the only X-Men villains that I really want to see in films are Mr. Sinister, Omega Red, Spiral, Avalanche and Marrow (though she already became an ally in the comics).

And if the OT cast gets another film and Mr. Sinister is the villain, it would be nice to see a film where James Marsden as Cyclops gets a bigger role. Like just thinking about gives me chills. They have to give Cyclops the focus and I prefer if they do it in the present period where most of the X-Men are already introduced to the mainstream viewers.

Plus, I think they would need to renegotiate contracts with the leads because they are only signed on for three films, not four. I don't foresee a two-part "Apocalypse" movie, but hopefully Apocalypse will return in another film. He's too big a villain to be killed in one movie.

They aren't gonna do two movies with the title of "Apocalypse: Part 1" and "Apocalypse: Part 2" but I can definitely see them using Apocalypse for a 2nd movie after XMA. Just the fact that "Apocalypse" is getting a very early buzz starting last year, I don't think the producers want him to be just 1 and done villain. They are gonna keep using him like they did with Magneto or at least Stryker.

I'm not a fan of any of the Summers kids,

Yeah me too, I've only read a dozen of comics featuring Cable and Rachel but for some reason, they don't really interest me.

Apocalypse is too big for one and done and can't wait for Sinister one day. They are probably the 2 villains I'm most looking forward to.

I think Sinister could be the next Stryker, a villain whose connection with a hero could be used throughout multiple films and whose impact could be felt beyond a single movie. Though, they might have to do something different to avoid it becoming a rehash of the Shaw-Magneto relationship or the Stryker-Wolverine relationship. But taking advantage of Sinister's connection to Scott and Jean would probably be the best way to approach his character.

Agreed, Sinister could be the Stryker or Shaw for Cyclops. But the difference with Stryker is Sinister is a mutant.

Sinister isn't a mutant.
Bobby would say: ,,You shouldn't left reading comics." :cwink:

i am sure mr sinister will be a mutant in the film series, i don't see any other supernatural beings existing, apocalypse will likely be some form of mutant too

yeah i notice that, some sites read meaning into quotes and things that are said in interviews just so they have a cool headline title and then people who read it usually judge it by the headline title rather then read for themselves and make their own judgement

then that usually spreads to other sites

You think Deadpool will be a mutant?
It's same situation.
Wilson and Essex should be simply humans before transformed into Deadpool and Mr. Sinister, maybe both with help of Apocalypse.

I think everyone should be a mutant. Seriously, though. Juggernaut, Sinister, Deadpool... I think the X-Men film universe works so well because it's grounded in our reality. The sci-if elements only spawn from mutants. Time travel, for example, didn't involve some ridiculous machine; it was made possible by a mutant's powers. I guess maybe genetic experimenting will work (as it did with Wolverine's adamantium lacing,) but it doesn't hurt to make some of these characters mutants to begin with. But aliens, magic gems and cloning should never get anywhere near these movies.

The X-Men film universe does work very well but I think due to the way it had to start with low scale, low budget in a post B&R time where a comic book film was a very risky thing, the ambition of the series is a lot more limited than an Avengers for e.g. The comic X-Men universe is open to anything because it exists within the Marvel Universe even if it sometimes seems sheltered from it. I would love to be able to see what we would have got if Marvel had the rights and were only now releasing the 1st ever X-Men film. I think the whole franchise would be huge and permanently bigger in the eyes of filmgoers.

NOT SURE for alien technology.
NO for magic.
YES for cloning, especially that's the core if we have Mr. Sinister.

I'd want to see the Shiar empire and cloning but no to magic. That has never really seemed to fit into the mutant world. They just jammed it in there because it was part of the comic universe.

I think we will see alien technology with Apocalypse .
Singer is a big sci-if nerd so Shiar empire is a big possibility .

I think they actually hint at/introduce Sinister in Deadpool and maybe give him a small appearance in Apocalypse before the X-Force team has to fight him in their movie. :woot:

Sinister could be in this film especilly with them taking a lot from Age of
Apocalypse according to Simon Kinberg.

As for cloning and Space Ailens I say no with X-Men.

I say yes to alilens for FF films but not with X-Men.

I doudt Magic ever shows up In X-Men films.Even in marvel studios films magic
Is being downplayed Into more techno stuff.

Magneto built a machine that could turn humans into mutants in X1. Why can't we see another human gain powers through experimentation? We've already seen the humans that hate mutants and experiment on them to find ways to destroy them.

Why can't Sinister be a human that is obsessed with the X Gene and covets mutant powers? Besides, characters like Sinister and Apocalypse have several abilities and don't really fit the mold the films have already established for mutation.

Great counter-argument with Magneto's machine - I somehow forgot about that.

From what I remember in X3 there are varying degrees of mutation power levels. With Jean Grey being among the most powerful ever seen to date. In DOFP we saw that mutations can evolve like in the case of Kitty.Apocaplyse can be the first and like Jean that God like power can turn him mad.

I don't know if it can fit with what they've done so far but I'd like to see Shi'ar somehow someday and the X-Mansion using Shi'ar rather than human tech

Okay I forgot where this was mentioned but someone suggested since a young Scott/Cyclops is being introduced they can finally touch on his relationship w/Havoc, but I have this hunch that they'll (Singer/writers) will make Alex Scott's father instead and probably give Alex and off screen death thus leading to why Scott is an orphan or under Xavier's tutelage.

Far as using Apocalypse in future films, I definitely think Fox can however I don't see him being in a "X4" or "X5" IMO DOFP was like a send off to the original cast, but I can totally see him being the big bad in a X-Force spin off, thus they can use new mutants that were talked about and also bring back the new future mutants for an expanded role.

I can see being skeptical on bringing alien life into the Universe, but the obsession with cloning and genetic experimentation is definitely based in our reality, just amplified. Much like they did with robotics.

Personally I have no problem with any of it. Like always it depends on the initial writing. Would love to see an insane cosmic Phoenix story one of these days. Just brings the scope and power of the entity to a larger canvas. The Shi'ar would be pretty awesome to finally see as well.
