I cannot wait! we are so close to getting some big news I can feel it! Does anyone know the date when the first stuff for DOFP started coming out?

Yea, Deadline gets stuff wrong all the time. The synopsis just sounds like something generic they threw together from interviews, rumors and whisperings online.

Nice to have Singer confirmed though!

Glad to see Singer returning. News is starting to come out. Good, good...

Does anyone know if Josh Helman is set to return? I don't really care about Stryker but I'm curious if they had him contracted to do more than just DOFP. Given that Apocalypse is the main baddie I wonder if they'll include Stryker/Weapon X at all.

Apocalypse takes place a decade after Days of Future Past and is a seamless next step in the story. The altering of time has unleashed a new and uniquely powerful enemy. Charles (James McAvoy), Erik/Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Raven/Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Wolverine (Hugh Jackman) and Hank/Beast (Nicholas Hoult) are joined by young Cyclops, Storm, Jean and others as the X-Men must fight their most formidable foe yet: an ancient unrelenting force determined to cause an apocalypse unlike any in human history.

I just hope Wolverine doesn't go pedo on young Jean Grey. Make him a Horseman immediately, otherwise it's going to be way too awkward. I also hope they go pretty young for these actors. I would look at child actors to play these roles to be honest, like late range Harry Potter book 6/7. Given that this is 1983, it not only should be accurate with the OT, but I think it makes for a better story if this is indeed coming of age. Definitely FC age range at the very least.

Delighted Singer is confirmed. It'd be really great to see a younger Storm, Cyclops and Jean, aswell as Gambit.

Wolverine doesn't need to have any sexual connection to jean, he will know nothing about her and so probably just see her as a kid.

Right.... I forgot about the new timeline. Good.

I am fine with getting away from the love triangle between cyclops,Jean and wolverine

we might see Mystique continue to use his identity...

They need Wolverine in here if only to explain what that last scene was about. I'm still sticking to my "Wolverine becomes a Horsemen" theory. Jackman's been playing this character for so long, you want to give him something new to play around with character-wise. Making him a villain (albeit one under mind-control, mental manipulation) would fit the bill. Plus, Young Scott and Jean's first big mission as X-Men involving having to fight Wolverine just sounds deliciously ironic to me, almost poetic even.

Great news to hear that Singer is returning as director. This is the best news for me today.

And I'm glad that X Men: Apocalypse is focusing on the First Class cast.

Honestly speaking, I don't really wish to see any of the OT cast back. They have had their moments but now, I think it's time to pass the torch to someone else.

Agreed and we also need to find out on how Charles ended up finding Logan (again) in the past since we know by the time the revised version of the year 2023 rolls around, Logan was already with the X-Men and I doubt he joined up with them the same way that he did originally in the first X-Men film.

And it would actually be pretty great to see Cyclops especially be a big part in beating Logan given on how fans have complained that the character has stolen the leadership spotlight from Scott in the original trilogy, while solidifying him as the badass that he really is in the comics.

I still wonder how Gambit fits into all this.

I don't expect him to stay at the mansion by the end of the film (they're still establishing a new first generation, I'll give it time), so I'm just assuming he's the typical sub-plot that conveniently weaves into whatever other bs the X-Men are dealing with. The end of the film has everyone settling in, Remy's told he has potential and a place at the mansion, he declines, the end.

That's an OK and simple lead-in to his supposed solo film.

Gambit and Ororo both have started off as thieves. Storm also pretty much introduced Remy to the X-Men so there is alot of histoy there to work with. Gambit could also be Death. Lot of options.

Singer's back :D

And that synopsis sounds epic! Bonus points for Jackman returning :)

Seeing as my speculation that Apoc was awoken by the time shift in DOFP was shot down last week, I feel like that's up for discussion again. How exactly does he wake up, but not react for a decade, it's a huge time gap

I´m not really sure how good this will work out.

I´m referring to Wolverine meeting (either as an ally or a foe) the young X-Men. One of the engaging parts of Wolverine joining the X-Men is that nobody knew anything about him. Neither him. Nobody knew he was 100+ years old, and Claremont developed a great interaction between Logan-Scott and Jean.

I don´t think he will end up joining the X-Men at the end of the movie, but I don´t really like the idea of the young X-Men having the notion of who Wolverine is. Specially for future movies. I just´can´t imagine Logan hitting on Jean and she telling him: oh, I remember I met you when I was 14... (such a turn off)

Wonder what's going on in 70's Logan mind.
He was in hotel with girl, suddenly he wakes up somewhere with blue monster and guy talking about drugs, and next he wakes up at barque with army guys :word:

The Digital HD copy was released today on iTunes and other digital outlets and on the iTunes version, we get the deleted scenes and the "Kitchen Sequence" featurette (which is really just Singer explaining the scene that was cut out between Hank, Raven, Charles, and Logan in the mansion, after the Paris sequence. It's a good scene but most of the information got placed in other parts of the film.).

Anyway, the deleted scenes feature two interesting moments. First during the future sequence, Logan's getting his the lowdown on how time travel works. It's different than from how it is in the film. At the end of the scene, Logan and Storm have a VERY intimate moment. It's a kiss and the way it's played out, it seems as if they've been together for a long while. What's funny is that Halle Berry did the kiss to Hugh as a joke on set. You see it in the gag reel. What's interesting is that Singer liked the idea so much that he had Halle and Huge play that moment for real. Honestly, I kind of wished they kept it. It was good.

The other interesting deleted scene is actually an alternate ending where the Coast Guards save Logan at the end. As Singer says in the deleted scenes commentary, this was how the film was going to end. Instead of Stryker being Mystique, it really was Stryker who finds him. The officers ask Stryker what he wants to do with him. He tells them he'll take him and he gives Logan the name of "X". In the audio commentary on the scene, Singer explains that he felt this ending just kind of recycled Logan's story from what we've already seen. He wanted to change Logan's backstory for the coming sequel.

Logan as one of the four Horseman? Wouldn't be surprised about it now.
