Agreed there is plenty of evidence to suggest that the young Scott, Jean, Kurt and Ororo get plenty of development. It's all that's been discussed by the actors and Singer. And what we've seen doesn't suggest otherwise. But people stay hung up on Mystique leading the X-Men and that she's been marketed too much. It's like FML!!! I think people sometimes don't grasp that marketing the movie is very important so making the biggest star of the franchise front and center is pretty important to doing thatI think some people are going to be surprised at how much Jean and Scott get to do in the movie, because I think they are going to get a lot of time.
Plot speculation based on trailers and articles:
Its pretty obvious that Scott, Jean, Nightcrawler, and not sure if any others, are going to have to rescue Mystique, Quicksilver, and Beast after Stryker grabs them after Apocalypse blows up the mansion.
So they essentially have their a mission that they do on their own.
And we're going to get time with the young crew at the mall, because that is where they are going to be while Apocalypse destroys the mansion.
I'm thinking that Jean and Scott will have roles on par with what Mystique and Hank had in First Class, except more involved in the fighting at the end because Mystique couldn't do much in the final fight in First Class.

Welcome.
I might be in the minority but I rather they keep X-Men to just mutants on earth. We already have the Marvel and DC cinematic universes having other heroes and villains from space. And a lot of their universe is tied in to Gods and galaxies already. I rather they keep the X-Men to simply mutants and humans attempting to exist with each other and then you have the big problems come along much like Apoc, Sinister, Phoenix etc. Keep it to evolution as Jean's powers. I liked that. My personal opinion.

Im fine with them staying on Earth, but Im really tired of the whole mutants vs human theme thats been the focal point of every film. Its time to move beyond mutant and human conflict. Apocalypse looks to be doing that at least. Your ideas are a chance to explore stuff beyond what we always get to seeI disagree I don't think they should limit themselves to just humans and mutants that's boring and XLore is so much bigger than that. XMen being my fav franchise right now I want them to explore as many aspects as they can within the universe regardless if other studios are doing it. Shiar,Savage Land,Arcade,Mojo are interesting stories that shouldn't be ignored just to keep it between humans and mutants. They shouldn't be only on Earth that's ridiculous not saying they should rush into it but it's a lot of different avenues on different worlds that is apart of XLore
IMO, they shouldnt concern themselves with what Marvel or DC is doing. They should tell good stories that make sense within the X franchise and not shy away from something bc those two might be doing something similarWelcome.

I do think space should eventually be done but in a Starjammers film. That needs to be its own spinoff

If they're going to re-do Phoenix, surely it has to be approached differently - we've already seen the evolving/expanding power (X2) and mental blocks (X3) variations. Something new and different has to bring it all on this time.
Also, I disagree that X-Men now can't touch outer space or go beyond earthly reality. This series needs to embrace all of its potential and not just let other franchises expand into space, magic, etc.
What you're proposing is so limited and suggests nothing should change since X1 in 2001. We can't just keep having mutant vs humans, then mutants vs mutants, and Magneto and Xavier first fighting each other and then helping each other over and over.
This is a series about evolution. It has to evolve!

I'm happy with them doing that but it needs to make sense. All of our X movies have been earth driven and there's been no mention of space/Galaxy/worlds etc. Maybe now with Apocalypse and the technology they will. But I only want it to make sense and not be forced in.
Really? I didn't know that, that sucks I actually do like the Savage Land just not as much as I do the Shiar.Savage Land can't happen anyway I don't think. They don't have the rights.
Arcade I think would be pretty awesome to see onscreen but it has to be done right or it will be very cheesy lol. Yes to them introducing the space aspect even without Phoenix is something I would love to see. That's why I was so adamant about DPS but as I said if they can find a way to introduce the Shiar/Starjammers in some way I'll be beside myself.Arcade Mojo could be fun, but it would have to be handled very delicately, lest it turn into a Schumacher movie or whatever Eisenberg was doing in BvS.
And while I am someone who definitely thinks the X-Men should go cosmic in the next movie no matter what, Phoenix or no Phoenix, and just for the sake of variety... I still have no interest in seeing the X-Men go to the Savage Land.
That is just a bridge too far with the Tarzan looking people and talking dinosaurs. No thanks.

It's been ground level the entire franchise until Apicalypse so why should they go back to that and revert. They need to continue going forward and exploring different avenues.
I'd be down to see Spiral. She would bring something new (visually) to the franchise.Arcade Mojo could be fun, but it would have to be handled very delicately, lest it turn into a Schumacher movie or whatever Eisenberg was doing in BvS.
