just came across this early Apocalypse design by Jerad S Marantz:

I can't believe they didn't choose this one instead of the movie version. At least Isaac could have been able to act in this costume and use his body and facial expressions...

I sort of prefer the facial area and the head, but the suit itself is far more generic. Like something out of Mass Effect, nothing about it screams Apocalypse.

The costumes we got in the movie are way better than those concept art designs imo. Apocalypse's concept suit looks so generic, practically the Batsuit minus the cape!

Some of these make me wonder if they did run up against budget issues. The scope of the shots is much larger. There is a chance that Singer wanted to always keep the focus on the characters, but I like how some of this feels in comparison to what we got. It's a bit more bleak. The color palet is more dramatic

I prefer the 90s yellow chest belt costume, just not the one in the concept art since he seems to be wearing glasses still and it doesn't look as good

For some reason I've never been a fan of Cyclops' 90's costume. I don't really know why.

And yeah, with the glasses it looks weird. I like the yellow/gold visor better than the silver one in the movie as well.

Since Alex has his FC haircut yeah you could be right, although why they decided to use those outfits for that storyboaded sequence who knows, it's not like the characters didn't wear anything else in FC

I miss the First Class costumes. I was quite annoyed that Singer made us wait an entire film for the characters to suit up in proper costumes, let alone throwing them into another set of generic black suits for the 3rd act after catching so much flack for this habbit.

Of course, I thought the designs of the new costumes were shoddy too. So I lost all around haha.

Just thought I'd say that I don't think anyone else has mentioned that Magneto did technically help Charles build/rebuild Cerebro now most likely as he helped rebuild the school.

Anyone else make this observation?

Wll they kinda love to make fun of themselv in this movie, i mean the cinema "thrid worst" thing, Apocalypse crafting armors, Quicksilver breking the tension, Xavier is a pervert lol, i really think they tried to give it a kitch and second degree in all that mess.
