Also, if you pre-order the film, your copy of X-Men: Apocalypse will come with the below slip cover of Dazzler. And it is pretty fabulous.

Way to change the topic about the release date. I love what someone said in the comments on the website, "This ain’t a freaking high literature paper thesis, it’s a blog". Also, are you trying to state that Fox is gonna beg Singer to come back and do another film, even though he wanted to take a break from it?

well singer break may simply be doing 20,000 leagues under the sea.with wolverine film, deadpool sequel, gambit, and new mutants all coming in next
3 years.summer 2019 is earliest next X-Men film is coming.

what those who say everything so bleak for x-men forget is apocalypse
made more money than first class and the wolverine and both of them got
sequels.and believe me studios care what films do overseas.if not china wouldn't have so much power.you will never see another film critical of
China released by major studio again.

Fox's real flop of 2016 wasn't apocalypse but Independence day sequel.

FOX won't beg Singer to come back, He ain't the only person who can direct an X-Men movie so while its possible i doubt he is a high priority even if they keep him on as producer.

As for him wanting to take a break thats fair because he wants to do other movies like any director does and i honestly don't think singer is holding a special desire to do his phoenix saga since at this point he has done 4 X-Men movies and had a creative hand in FC so he has already put so much creative thinking into these movies that i can see why he would be fine to move on now.

Oh I agree, I'm just not fond of the "no creative vision" comment when it just been a month and a half since the film came out.

I was not trying to change the topic, just bring up context about Fox for the future. Personally, I do not think Singer should come back or Fox will try to bring him back. Reporter Christopher Marcs of Omega Underground claims Fox was hoping the movie would make 800M WW.

people may come to regret it if no involvement by singer and kinberg is sole writer and main producer.Last stand and Fantastic Four anyone.

whoever does next film with Kinberg it's unknown rather or not they will do phoenix saga. They may instead do film with mr sinister as villain.

if fox really believed apocalypse was ever going to outgross DOFP they were
idiots.that was never happening.and i am one who liked apocalypse.

I watched it again today. It will be many years before we will see the next real X-Men movie and I got nostalgic already. lol

this movie is really such a huge disappointment. :csad: I really wished it could have been a good movie...there are some very nice directed scenes in it which got me quite emotional again but overall the script is just so bad and completely uninspired!!

Thus I say keep Singer but get him a great new screenwriter for the next movie. Someone with actual talent...where the problem lies seems so clear to me. I hope FOX finally wakes up...

next X-men film is likely coming summer 2019.Kinberg starts writing it early next year.if they are doing it with singer directing again maybe it gets pushed to summer 2020.

people forget from 2000 to 2009 we had to wait 3 years for next film.and then 2 years in between origins and first class and then 2 years between first class and the wolverine

and with wolverine film, deadpool sequel, gambit if it happens, and then new mutants if it is made as quickly as some thing it will we will have spin-offs to fill the void.

I am terrified that Kinberg will go solo on the script and we will get another X3 or F4.

That too. :(

One thing of note. Apparently, CA law makes it such that a personal services contract can only go for seven years. That has implications for the franchise, potentially, as Tye Sheridan and Sophie Turner have multi-film deals for up to 3 movies.

This movie was a 10/10. I'd love if the next X movie is as good.

I really liked it but it wasn't a 10/10 best superhero movie for me this year though so far.

Probably not gonna happen. Singer's going off to do 20,000 Leagues (which may turn out to be a pointless remake) and Kinberg is entrenched in this franchise.

But I agree script/storytelling was the main issue, along with substandard make-up design...

At this point we probably wouldnt get much action from a singer directed movie but id be fine if he came back to direct the next one, although i ain't someone who complains about alot of his decisions

really? I think Nightcrawler and Apocalypse looked really great actually. the problem of Apocalypse was not so much the makeup in my eyes but Singer's many close up shots throughout the movie. I think he wanted to give Oscaar Isaac a chance to act under all this makeup but these close ups unfortunately mainly revealed the shortcomings of the makeup work...From a little distance Apocalypse looked fantastic. Singer should have concentrated more on the angles which actually worked great:

The only problem was Mystique's makeup especially in her scenes with Magneto in Kairo where she looked ridiculously cheap like very bad bodypaint. I am not sure if the problem was the make-up design or Jennifer Lawrence's unfortuante "skin condition"...:whatever:

Right can someone please explain what exactly is wrong with the make up work, because I genuinely don't see it. Mystique's look/ prosthetics has obviously changed from the original trilogy but we've had 2 movies where that's been the case so there's nothing new. Apocalypse looked great to me, his look/makeup captured the alien aspects of his character and his armor/suit portrayed the ancient Egypt origins nicely too imo.

They're both blue characters, we know they're painted blue and it's going to look like they''re painted blue regardless - what is the issue?!

well, I think that a character like NEBULA is a lot better done than Mystique was in X-Men: Apocalypse. She does not look so obviously painted blue...Maybe it has to do with her eyes. Given her contact lenses helps a lot to produce an alien-looking appearance. I think they should have whiten Apocalypse's eyes or give him contact lenses the entire movie to make him look less 'human in costume' but actually alien...

I think that makeup wasn't very good either and only a bit better than Mystique's. She does look painted blue to me... and the cybernetic peice look super plastic-yee.

Those shots still look great to me. I thought Apocalypse looked suitably menacing, thanks in some part to the make-up. He looked very god like then when his eyes turned white.

The only minor issue I noticed with Mystique was her eyes were white, instead of yellow, in the projector photo at the beginning of the movie, but that was a forgivable editing error.

Agreed, I thought All the makeup looked great, especially Apocalypse. He has a very creepy look to him, which isn't something you get in a lot of blockbusters nowadays.

If anyone leaves it will be singer.People may come to regret that depending on what the timetable is for next X-Men film is and who ends up directing it.
