No THE PROBLEM is when some try to question peoples intelligence level just because they're not berating Kinberg in every comment. That is why people push back at the negativity not because someone has a different opinion but because some try to make it seem like their opinion is better than others and like they are true fans and anyone who disagrees is just uneducated or irrelevant. I've never tried to stifle opinions just asked why someone would want to revel in it if they truly "see no hope"?

Exactly. And notice that it's the same group of people who others usually have a problem with.

They mean Dark Pool.

But on the actual Dark Phoenix side of things instead of Deadpool...I'm curious if, as far as the score goes, Zimmer updates a familiar X-Men theme we've heard already in the films- akin to when we got an updated version of the X-2 opening in Days of Future Past- or an entirely new piece of music as sort of the main theme.

They need to keep the original baseline score but update it. I think that opening is up there with the most iconic well recgonised comic book scores along with Reeves' Superman, Batman '89 and Dark Knight trilogy.

Agreed. This film series has had 4 different X-Men themes, and Ottman's is still the best.

Regarding Zimmer doing the score, has that actually been confirmed by anybody other than Evan Peters?

So how they are going to address the character's ages in this movie? Xavier is over 60 years old but he still looks young. James McAvoy is playing a character that is older than Patrick Stewart in the first X-Men movie. They should have at least added some make up to make him look older.

They’ve ignored it this far. They’ll probably do the same in Dark Phoenix.

Ummm... no he isn't. it's about ten years before. That being said I agree they really need to age him to look more like patty older in post production.

If you go by what first class said he was 12 in 1944. So,

30 in 1962 (First Class)
40 in 1972 (DOFP)
50 in 1982 (Apocalypse)
60 in 1992 (Dark Phoenix)

The same way they have addressed Charles in DoFP after having his whole body destroyed by Jean. Or Trask being a black man in TLS then being played by Dinklage in DoFP. Or the two Emmas, two Jubilees, two Angels, etc, etc...

Real-life Patrick Stewart looks as old/young as he did 3-4 decades ago. They do actually age them up via make-up & hair styling contrary to some here.

Apocalypse falls in line with Dark Knight Rises, and Spider-Man 3 for me in that it is a good movie that falls short of a great predecessor.
Those movies at least had good special effects and action. Can't say the same for Apocalypse IMO. Although admittedly Dark Knight Rises had some horrible choreography, with henchmen falling before they're even hit, haha.

I've heard others complain about the effects, I didn't have a problem with them personally. First Class is the one that has the weakest effects out of the past 3 films imo.

yet FC has the best flying sequences of the whole franchise.
something where Bryan Singer hasnt been able to deliver. And I guess Kinberg didnt write a great flying sequence either, between Jean and Storm, or Jean and Archangel.

Any who...
It's really fascinating how even passive comments keep hyping this movie up.

Was wondering if we can collect all the comments from the screenings so far?

good idea for another thread in the board. Go for it

Saw a leaked pic of x-men costumes. I’m assuming I can’t post it so I’ll post this instead.
