I wouldn't overrate Kinberg at all, but then i wouldn't underrate him either.
I've been only at it for a few days, usually I don't engageMust be the lack of news.
AHA, it's Kinberg's fault!!
and Deadpool is not X-Men. but hey, lets act like it is lol
I would feel embarrased if a spinoff like deadpool is much more successful than most x-men movies.
Do you feel embarassed also for Black Panther much more successful than Civil War and 3 Avengers?
it is a rhetorical question 'cause i know that, as always, you Feige fanboy will contrive something that is smart (for only you).
as the anti-vaccine. like a religion.

DeCadpool is 100% X-Men, and Fox. But then again, whenever one of these films succeeds you people start with the excuses.
It's fact, not an excuse. Deadpool is in a franchise separate from X-Men proper. His relationship to writer/director/producer Simon Kinberg's X-Men series is similar to that between the cinematic MCU and the Marvel Netflix shows. They are technically within the same continuity. But not really.
You can't say that, not given Deadpool 2.
Are you referring to the rumored [BLACKOUT]First Class X-Men [/BLACKOUT] cameo. It's nice fan service, but it doesn't make Deadpool part of the X-Men franchise any more than Maria Hill and Nick Fury showing up on AOS made that show part of the Avengers franchise.
Thats a weird way of looking at it.
Its clear Deadpool is meant to be part of the X-Men franchise, same Mansion and Mansion set, same Jet, cameos, colossus costume is even inspired by his X3 outfit even if he is another mark 2 version of a character that this franchise likes to do anyway.
Agents of shield is part of the MCU.

So is she definitely dead? I was hoping we would see Emma Frost in Dark Phoenix.
What a shame
They don't get any development in the whole series. That's the issue.
If all Cap had in the entire Avengers and Marvel series was his role in Infinity War that would be bs. But he has 3 solos and 2 other films. The whole reason IW works is because we have 10 years of development with all those characters between two films, one of which Cap will be more present. We don't need the development set up as the audience already knows how important characters like him, Nat and T'Challa are. It's the only way a film like that can work in truly balancing an ensemble of that size.
Meanwhile most X-Men are lucky to say two lines of dialogue in the whole series or play a part beyond VFX.

I am amused that the Fox-defenders on this forum are now grabbing on to the success of Deadpool and the positive buzz towards its imminent sequel.
Previously, those same people hated Deadpool - criticising the OTT comedy, the perma-steel Colossus with his somewhat 'dumb brute' persona, and distancing it from the main X-Men films.
Now, suddenly, it's wholeheartedly a part of the X-Men franchise, because it represents the biggest success and the best audience response. The studio is doing the same by inserting these rumoured cameos into Deadpool 2.
'See, look how good we are at making X-Men CBMs' is the cry right now as they point at Deadpool.
Reaction to Deadpool 2 remains to be seen but it's looking pretty good. Even with a Domino being nothing like comicbook Domino and the cramming in of loads of characters for the hell of it (both of those typical Fox blunders with CBMs).
Deadpool works largely because it understands what Deadpool is, and is immersed in the source material.
Can we say the same for Dark Phoenix which has no Hellfire Club, no Shi'ar, hardly any outer space and Chastain as some weird-looking blonde who might be Lilandra leading Skrulls or some other nonsense.
