The new trilogy is more profitable than the original cast one.

That's the (main) reason we have a Dark Phoenix e we hadn't a X-Men 4.

And the original must have Jackman to be the same level of Apocalypse.

Of course deadpool is xmen
Most people see deadpool as an x-men movie, the character himself in his films makes it clear that he is part of the same "universe" .. even the new movie contains even more references to x-men,this new film will have scenes in the institute xavier.
It's very strange to have to debate this.
we are facing another case of selectivity, how he achieved good results is not x-men, if he had failed, it would be x-men..

No one sees Deadpool as an X-Men. He's far beyond all of them, apart from Wolverine.

Not one where characters like Cyclops, Jean, and Storm are heroes themselves and actually impact the plot. As great as DOFP and Logan were, they did not give these characters a heroic ending.

A confusing easter egg. Thing is some people would interpret it differently. Is Deadpool now set in the 90s? Where's Colossus in Dark PhoeniX? Are they gonna do a cross over later on? It opens a lot of questions when in the first place, its just a joke about the messy continuity/promotion for Dark Phoenix. Is that good story telling/world building, not at all.

A farewell to that era after everyone (well I guess not Angel or Nightcrawler...) got a sendoff in DOFP. And then that whole era got what I'd argue is the second best superhero ever made paying its respects to their legacy.

At some point, it is time to move on.
