Its not gonna be comic accurate. Its gonna turn important comic book characters as side characters who are there to serve as eye candies for the public.

Then as a film, it's gonna be a poorly written film. X3/Fantastic Four/Apocalypse and whatever Kinberg co-wrote didn't get bad reviews from the critics because of its inaccuracy from its source material, but just plain bad story telling.

Not everyone was a main character in The Dark Phoenix Saga in the comics.

For the record, recent articles have said that Simon Kinberg shot that [blackout]insert shot of the X-Men cast in Deadpool 2[/blackout] on the X-Men: Dark Phoenix set. This means, it was shot during Dark Phoenix production, so most likely that is how they'll appear in that film.

Psylocke was a main character in the Dark Phoenix comic book saga? And as for Dazzler, she was part of the weakest segment of that saga. When folks think Dark Phoenix they tend to think fire bird, Jean going home, space, Shi'Ar, and a bunch of other stuff we probably won't see either.

Yeah all signs point to Dark Phoenix being the end. Although I still think X-Force can (and hopefully will) get into production before the deal goes through. It seems more and more likely even the reshoots were to give it some finality now that a sequel seems unlikely.

So again my hope is that, against all odds, it's good and the new cast knocks it out the park. "You gonna' miss me when I'm gone" sort of thing. But we'll see.

Whelp that would be a bad decision no one could follow. My guess (hope?) is that it's fake. And if not, the reshoots will take it out, because no one wants to see a replacement for Hugh, especially this soon.

Good. It’s too early to replace Jackman, and Dark Phoenix doesn’t need the distraction of reintroducing Wolverine.

The timeline’s been wonky since XO:W... Kinberg had nothing to do with that one.

Since Jackman is done and they apparently are aware this is likely the last official X-Men film, I highly doubt it on a cameo.

Funny you bring up wonky Wolverine timeline.. the writers of Deadpool 2 just confirmed the Yukio from DP2 is the Yukio from the comics, aka Yukio from The Wolverine.. I'm pretty sure they're unaware she already made her movie debut, as they claimed she did in DP2 .. jesus christ..

Huh. That would move The Wolverine further in time. Although, as that guy who's so deeply entrenched in this timeline thing (not me) this would still mean DP operates within FC parameters. FC being another timeline from the start still makes the most sense to me.

So human in the comics yet Fox have given her a different Mutant power set in each of her film appearances.
