About what? Hell fire club? I don't know whether or not that's in the movie to any degree. So that is a speculation. You could still replace it with Jessica Chastain's character and its still nearly the same as the official synopsis. I would say the official synopsis doesn't state the term "Hellfire", but I don't know if its in the movie. It could be involved in the major plot twist. Who knows.

Discredit the first post of a topic about someone knowingly posting false information. Speculating on that is a waste of time. The Sun post is almost identical to the official synopsis. I wouldn't class that as knowingly putting up false info. But taking the Hellfire Club out doesn't really alter the synopsis much at all. Even when replaced by only Chastain's character....the role in the story as an antagonist is still the same. It's not giving any major information about the film. It's basically a synopsis. And the mentioning of Skrulls isn't even IN the official synopsis. We at least know the antagonist manipulate Jean. Whether Chastain could be part of something similar to Hellfire Club is anyone's guess since her role mirrors theirs from the comics. There's a major twist in the movie, so one can't rule it out as false.

Chastain may actually be a good reason to watch this one though. Although i do agree Fox takes too many creative liberties with the content but the comic books don't really come to life in the end. I feel they lost the X-Men's message a bit just thinking we gotta make a hollywood movie. Take the scene in Black Panther where

The X-Men were recognized as superheroes and inspiring ones at that after Fall of the Mutants, when the X-Men saved Dallas from the Adversary and X-Factor saved New York City from Apocalypse. After that though? They save the world from Onslaught and get **** on by the world. Save the world from Bastion and get **** on by the world and so on.

You are comparing apples to oranges. Is the only reason you want to make this seem untrue and the leaks true because it cast the film in a negative light?

I dont see how Chastain can be a skrull alien. Why would she be cautiously trying to seduce Jean if she is a skrull when apparently the Skrull race get mad at Jean for destroying their planet after the space incident. They wouldnt try to send an alien shapeshifter to slowly capture Jean, theyd just invade earth by force in full view.

If she is a Hellfire member, then a gender swapped Mastermind seems most plausible at this point given all the evidence.

The only thing they said on that site (if I remember correctly) is that there would be a Phoenix raptor and there wasn't but as they said it was Rat-turds decision to exclude it. They even showed the official final script excepts they submitted with the firebird included.

I remember them being roasted after the film came out so bad they had to discontinue their conversations. Which is why it's impossible for him to not know how important it is to get it as close to the comics as possible.

This was referring to the first reddit leak which differed significantly from the second claimed reddit leak. The second leak was posted by someone putting out false information about a host of movies, not just Dark Phoenix as well as launching a campaign attacking other bloggers. That's why that person was banned. That last Dark Phoenix leak was framed and aimed specifically at discrediting a journalist blogger who knew two separate people that saw both the Feb & March test screenings. It's also important to note that this reddit leak "claimed" to have referred to the February test screening (which according to the blogger's source he heard "good things" about) but not even the latest test screening. A different blogger's source called the movie somber & serious (which the reddit leak sounds nothing like).

My main problem with claims in that reddit leak is that it merely expand on a lot of information that's already been released and explain nothing about significant elements stated in the synopsis. Nothing about:

-Chastain's interactions with any of the other characters
-Chastain's manipulation of Jean or what she even does in the movie
-Magneto's place in the film
-how Jean gradually "develop incredible power"
-Nothing about Cyclops

Kinberg said "that relationship, his being willing to kill or die for her, is a huge part of the emotional core of the movie. It also makes Scott start to have to become a leader."

Part of the synopsis literally says "Now the X-Men will have to decide if the life of a team member is worth more than all the people living in the world." But nothing like that is in the reddit leak. So I find this leak very suspect and fake.

Well, that's mostly Bryan Singer's fault isn't it? All of the main x-men movies featuring Cyclops are directed by him aside from X3. And he took James Marsden with him to do Superman...thus...limited the role of Cyclops and his significance in X3. We'll see how Kinberg handles the character as director.

I'm not so sure. Fox seemed to have no stock in Cyclops from the start. It was a fight to even include him at all in X3. Singer's films represent the best treatment he's gotten in the franchise, so it's unclear whether he was a positive or negative influence on the character. Worth noting that Singer gave that Superman role to Marsden after short-changing him in X2 as well.



You would presume that Scott is getting some meat this time around. Will be fun to see.

what I find curious is how when Storm gets a bigger role, Cyclops almost dissapears, and when Cyclops seems to get a better role this time around, Storm will get another small one.

Because the trinity is Cykes, Jean, Kurt. Storm & Quicksilver are the Gold & Silver Rangers.

It's clear Chastain is an alien in the movie (whether Liliandra or otherwise). The Sun clearly just Wiki'd the Dark Phoenix saga, folks. It's a tabloid. If you think you can see where the lazy "journalism" occurred, you probably did.

Honestly i do not think that was the reason behind his casting. infact wasn't Hugh Jackman also offered a role in Superman Returns? or am i getting my information wrong...

My belief is that Singer offered Marsden a role hoping it would force FOX to have to wait for him to finish directing Superman Returns.

It backfired though if thats the case.

Marvel studios will destroy half Fox's X-men versions. (Rogue, Cyclops, Emma and Angel being the most likely improvements, then Storm. Iceman too, I mean.... 8 x-men at the very least )
