They'll get a mutant to change his hair color for him. Like a Doug Ramsey but for hair dyes.

I don't know about that but who knows. I thought Storm would have white hair from the start, Apocalypse proved me wrong. Same thing with Professor X losing his hair, I thought it was because of genetics.

Maybe sometime before Dp and X1, Xavier, Hank and Erik encountered someone that made them look really old.

On an unrelated note, and excuse to post this X-image, hopefully folks are having a good holiday. Yes, even you.

It was a joke psy.

I don't know a single person outside of hardcore fans online, who pay WAY more attention to ultimately nitpicky details like this anyway, who remembers the WTC in X1. What they DO tend to remember is the "not too distant future" nebulous moniker.

So no, it's not a big issue to the public at large.

You're right, General Audiences don't remember details like the WTC in X1 but they do know, if they paid attention, that it's been more than three decades since FC and Magneto still looks the same. At least McAvoy has the "excuse" of going bald, and "Mystica" has the excuse of being a shapeshifter.

And they don't care.

very true only angry fans get this upset. I've literally never heard anyone complain about ages not looking old enough unless I'm on the internet on this board specifically.

Maybe because other movies that have characters aging like that get the job done? Can you name other examples of characters not aging at all in more than 30 years and not looking ridiculous like the X-Men franchise?

This aging thing in this franchise is just like the many continuity errors. It's up to the hardcore fans come up with a bunch of excuses for the many mistakes they make. The characters not aging is just one more thing that adds to this franchise being a mess.

So exactly what I just put in different words?

If Honest Trailers can notice that the characters don't age, so can everyone.

Honest trailers... their job is to find continuity errors and mistakes..

Continuity errors and mistakes are that usually brought up by the viewers. That's the appeal.of that web show. People go watch to see if they mention the most talked about complaints of a movie/franchise.

Yes but the audience of that show isn’t the general audience. I’m not actually saying I disagree with the aging comments but you’re trying to say yet another forum used by predominantly comic book/film fans is indicative of the opinion of the general audience. Which is isn’t

So the general audience is less attentive to details? These films made it clear that it's been a decade since the last one. Its not rocket science. You don't have to be the part of the comic book fanboys community to notice this stuff. Its an error, and the fact that they are continuing to do it is inexcusable.

And they don't care.
We'll see when the movie comes out.

I know some critics pointed out the lack of aging in Apocalypse. Well, this movie is a decade later so it'll be more noticeable.

Hell, if you can matter of factly state audiences don't care about this as if you've conducted a poll amongst the people who paid for the last two X-Movies, I'm also able to say audiences have probably given up trying to make sense of the continuity of these movies because they're a mess, based on what the people I know think.

And they don't care.

Yup! Oh yeah they signed the Peace Accords in Days of Future Past. Cool! But which year again?

The only memorable thing is maybe "welcome to the 90s" in Apocalypse. And the audience still don't care.

And they don't care.

you've summarized it.
they dont care............. about these movies anymore.

and why? there is the answer. For all the mess Fox has done: characters wasted, characters cut, characters killed, and yes, the sum of all the details. one detail is fine, but when a studio lacks attention to a lot of details, general audience isnt stupid, they notice and at one point, a lot of people just give up. This is what happened with this franchise: people gave up. And Fox, Bryan and Kinberg are responsible for all of it

The audience don't care enough about this stuff, they just want good movies.

I remember back in 2016 there were people saying how they wanted to see a quicksilver and deadpool crossover but no one even bothered to question how it could happen since they were characters decades apart because they didn't care about that stuff and don't take enough notice.

Now that doesn't mean its ok to do it that way but thats what the FOXverse depends and so far its working fine for them because its not about consistency for FOX and that allowed for films like Logan and Deadpool to even be made.

The next empire magazine is out on the 28th December, so there should be HD versions of scanned images up around that time.

And maybe some info too. EW article mentioned Kinberg hosting a screening of 40 minutes from the film, would love to hear more about that.

So it looks like we got confirmation that Chastain IS playing Lilandra?
