Fandango polls... the same site that said people paid for DOFP to see Lawrence, and yet somehow 200 million of those people didn't pay to see her again in Apocalypse?:whatever:

Now that you mention it I did think it was odd infinity war was number 1 :thf:

Face it, that whole Lawrence is the draw of X-Men "thing" was a bomb! I speak no lies.

Yeah Lawrence will always have her star power, that just won't always equal box office success. Especially with X-Men. If Apocalypse got all it's money from Lawrence fans then there is definitely some other things to worry about.

Box office, reviews, fan opinions, social media blah blah blah. They are no match for the true accuracy power of Fadango polls.

Sounds like there is alot of pressure on turner for this film.

Oh yeah, they are betting big on her to bring this thing together. We're gonna see whether there are more characters in there besides the cold/stoic Sansa.

I did the same thing and was a little bit disappointed. Well, the film is 11 months ahead so I guess that was to be expected.

Yeah, I mean, we really shouldn't have ANY content yet, but if the movie is done, it would be nice to see a little more.

When do you guys think the trailer will drop? I'm saying the week that Black Panther comes out.

The images from Ew, and Empire have me very excited. It looks quite different from any other film in the franchise. Here's hoping it's a great send off for this series.

It will either be with New Mutants or Deadpool 2 (the first trailer).

with Disney buying up Fox franchises like Xmen, does that mean Dark Phoenix will indeed be the last of the "Singer" X films?

edit: I misspoke and meant Singer X films, not Snyder. I've edited my post accordingly.

Most likely.

good.

though I actually misspoke in my post. I mean the "Singer" Xmen universe, not Snyder.......lol

it's time for a MCU X-Men reboot. I give Singer credit for kicking off the whole modern CBM, but the X-Men films have long since run their course, imo.

though I wonder how the Disney deal will affect future films like the Gambit film.....

are all those projects now dead and moot?

Where've you been the last few weeks? Talk/speculation about the future of the X-Men films have been discussed ad nauseam in multiple threads and sections. Lol.

No one knows for sure what will happen to projects lie Gambit, Multiple Man, X-23, X Force, etc. But there are plenty if theories and ideas.

I haven't been posting here on the Hype that much in general lately.

and I don't often frequent the X-Men threads.

Agreed, I thank the movies for breathing new life into the CBM genre after the Batman and Robin fiasco but it's wayy past time it ended. It's from a bygone era and it shows

I can't help but do a face palm when these actors do the promotional rounds for these movies and they find the need to speak in superlatives (ie. Turner's "Simon being the brains behind the X-men for years" and "Best director I've ever worked with", Chastain's past interview, Shipp's interview regarding her Storm in Apocalypse).

What's more, when they have to eat their own words.

I'm dissapointed that Thomas Siegel isn't going to be the DP for this film. I think he did a fantastic job with DOFP, and especially Apocalypse. Does anyone know if John Ottman will at least score Dark Phoenix?

Maybe she really does feel he is the best director she has worked with though?

I suppose really you should question whether you are face palming for the right reason and whether the same thing would bother you the same if it wasn't Simon Kinberg.

Yeah i am kinda surprised we have got as much as we have had this early.

Next year is definitely gonna be an interesting year for X-Men related material.
