its me, lol

we already know from Singer that there will be new younger characters, Nixon, and a returning actor/s, so we'll end adding photos of them in the upcoming weeks

Looks like there's still 7 spots to fill!

I hope its

1. Storm
2. Emma Frost
3. Havok
4. Banshee
5. Colossus (cameo)
6. Angel (cameo)
7. new character

If it's only 7 actors who haven't been announced It's likely

1:Whoever Is playing Nixon
2:Havok
3:Banshee
4:Emma Frost
5:Azarel
6:Mystique(Future)
7:Storm

I completely forgot about Azazel. I know the actor who is playing Azazel is Matthew Vaughn's lucky charm but since Bryan Singer is directing the movie, I don't think he needs to be in the movie anymore.

Well I think the brotherhood could consist of Magneto,Mystique, emma, and him.Angel and Riptide could be dropped.

Matthew Vaughn still has hands as writer and producer.Since It was Bryon's idea to Include Azarel In first Class he may very well be back.

Are Matthew Vaughn and Jane Goldman still going to put some input when it comes to writing of the film? I haven't heard from them for a while when it comes to the script of DOFP.

Yeah, that plus the fact that she's had a string (7 in a row!) of box office flops, direct to dvd, and unreleased films! If she was allowed to do it for free, she probably would!

Most of the main cast have at least had some successes since X3:
Hugh - Les Miserables, Real Steel, Origins Wolverine
Iain - The Hobbit
Famke - Taken, Taken 2, Hansel & Gretel
Anna - True Blood
James - Enchanted, Hairspray

We've already had this conversation once. Do you really want to have it again? ;)

that was an old post LS, do you want war or what? lol

I know I know, in any case, lets keep it on the Storm post, ok? :D

Halle looked amazing tonight. Have you guys read anything about anyone asking her about X-Men at the Oscars?

I'm hoping that in the next few weeks we'll hear it'll be 3:cwink:

I'm hoping so too! Three of the most powerful female characters portrayed by three Oscar winners in one movie would be amazing. Still praying that Halle will be confirmed soon.

So Halle Berry is still an A-List actress that she got to present at the Oscars by herself! She needs to comeback!

James Mcavoy Is reportly up for lead In Crow reboot or perhapes you could say remake of original film.

there is a First Class actors proyects topic, marvelr.

wrong one I posted In.Since Halle Berry Isn't exactly In DOFP at least not yet I got them
confused.

not sure where we had it, but I believe you said something about critical reception of the films listed (I would have written "critical hit" if I meant reviews). Studios don't care about critical hits unless they are Oscar prestige films or it's a fresh face they can cast in something bigger. I can list some "critical hits" for each of the actors noted as well.

Something like Taken 2, which was critically reviled, made about $375 million internationally which is more than X-men: First Class ($354 million) and X1 ($296 million). Yes, inflation comes into play but just listing for basic comparison.

Halle is a big tabloid star, but unfortunately for her, she can't translate that into anything in terms of an audience that will come see her in a film (and I'm not saying that many people are coming out to see James in Enchanted or Famke in Taken lol but having recent hit films is a huge help in getting cast in new projects).

I wouldn't put much stock in that to be perfectly honest. Afterall John Travolta also got to present by himself. :oldrazz:

John Travolta was in Hairspray and that was just like 5 to 6 years ago and he's not a hasbeen who has no choice but to do TV shows. All award-winning actors have their highs and lows when it comes to their popularity. Just because they aren't being talked about by critics/people or they haven't had a hit in years, it doesn't mean they are already worthless and not important to the movie industry.

First of all Calm down. Second: Notice the :oldrazz:

That said, I definitely think John Travolta's stardom has decreased the past couple of years.

I think in this day and age when the power of stars is on the decline and people do not go see movies just because a certain actor appears in it, I doubt studios care about how well an actor's previous movie did. They care about two things:
1) An actor's talent and ability.
2) How popular an actor is with the public as that plays an influence on the reception of the movie. Obviously how well their previous movie did is one of the ways that a studio asseses a star's popularity but there are many stars that have been in crap after crap after cap and yet keep on being cast in movies. This is because these stars are very popular and are loved by the public.

I see the order of the cast credits being like this:
Hugh Jackman
Patrick Stewart
Ian McKellen
James McAvoy
Michael Fassbender
Jennifer Lawrence
Peter Dinklage
Anna Paquin
January Jones
Ellen Page
Shawn Ashmore
Lucas Till
and
Halle Berry
