But seriously, I don't mind any way they go, as long as it's a proper underworld film. This has the potential to be gold. BUT, they need to find someone who's not only roguish, but also charimg as heck. Neither trait works alone.

Honestly if they adapt the novel The Winter of Frankie Machine into the Star Wars universe, you've got a great Han Solo movie, that cross cuts between the character at 35 and the character at 70, right there.

That would be a good way to handle it. I'd like to see Solo jettison that cargo, establishing the feud with Jabba.

That is Harrison Ford when he was young. I think Han should at least resemble him. But he needs Charisma. Main thing. Charisma. Having trouble thinking of young Actors that fit the bill.

Anyone think Han's Age will be very early 20's?

As I mentioned in the other thread- I hope we get a relatively unknown actor to play the part. I want to believe I'm watching young Han Solo, not just watching Ryan Phillpe playing Han Solo, or whoever.

I'm thinking it's going to be about:

*Han in the Imperial Army but being kicked out for being a bad apple
*Getting recruited by Jabba who thinks his skills would be useful
*Becoming an established smuggler
*Probably coming into conflict with Boba Fett, developing his antagonism of Solo.
*Meeting Chewbacca
*Getting some kind of huge job from Jabba that will leave him set for life
*Getting the Falcon from Lando
*And inevitably having to dump his cargo (no doubt for a reason that hints he may have a heart of gold deep down.)
*Going off to run from Jabba and leading into his situation in Episode IV.

As for my suggestion, Alot of these guys don't really seem like young Han Solos. Some of them are older than Harrison Ford was when he played the role!

I have a feeling they're looking at 20-25 year old men. I could see Liam Hemsworth pulling it off.

A lot of the actors in the poll are older than Ford was when he first played Han.

There are a couple of names here I don't recognize, but most of them are way out of sense.

Tommy Wiseau is up there. lmao

I think Chris Pine (but then, he's already Kirk, would be distracting) and Jensen Ackles probably fit the most - and are young enough.

So I'm voting Ackles and Wiseau.
