While I enjoyed Argo greatly, looking it at from a technical viewpoint, it in no way deserved an Oscar for either writing or BP.

Eh, I think Argo will be remembered pretty well; because it definitely is a fun, enjoyable movie to watch.

It just always confuses/upsets me that the Academy seems to have no greater insights on the quality or merits of films than the general moviegoer in the world.

Clooney lets Heslov speak for them, as I expected. Typically gentlemanly of him.

He's now only the third actor to also win Best Picture (the others being Laurence Olivier and Michael Douglas).
