The Dark Knight Rises A fan's experience on Rises set

well, they are actors and do loads of these. So he was the only guy that thanked him...even if he is still pissed with nolan over tdk....

Haha what is he? A hardcore purist?

haha pissed at Nolan over TDK? What did he have against the film?

We are both in the same boat, just don't like the film...but that's for another day.

But he just found it quite surreal to be near Nolan, Pfister, Emma Thompson and co.

And he said the lunch was AMAZING. Warner Bros cash

Your friend has my pity. I'd be thanking Nolan for delivering the two best Batman movies to date.

But one thing he did note was how people think Nolan is this cold and very reserved person.
Friend said he was cracking a lot of jokes and just seemed like a regular brit. And Pfister seemed like a very laid back guy as well

Yeah, I think that front he puts on in interviews is probably down to camera shyness.

but he's hoping he gets in the final cut....he said he really went full on, and is afraid he did TOO much.

After all though, this IS Gotham City after the events of part 2

So its safe to say all things go to pot then?

This is a bunch of bull. An extra doesn't sign any confidentiality agreements. They aren't even paid unless they are a featured extra. And even then then you might get a SAG coupon but nothing else.

Sounds like a fish story.

You guys crack me up and are pretty gullible..

BRB posting vague info and common knowledge disguised as a set report

BRB my friends brothers cousin was on the set and saw the most amazing thing but i cant tell you about it

BRB my friend says nolan cracks jokes on set because A) directors dont usually do that and B) friend reads interviews with and about Nolan too

BRB rehashing general knowledge disguised as my friends brothers cousins set visit

BRB eager for attention and wanting to be "in the know" so bad

BRB please delete this thread

I dont mean to be an *******, but come on people

You're incorrect. Extras get paid regardless and yes, you do agree to confidentiality, and this film is one where they're really stressing it.

I say this because I have worked as an extra, and I attended the extras casting call in Pittsburgh :)

When I auditioned to be an extra for the Clooney film that was being filmed in Cincinnati for a few weeks in March, they told us that if we were selected we'd have to sign a confidentiality agreement.

I bet Selina Kyle looks VERY suspiciously like Anne Hathaway.

Hmm...come to think about it...has anybody seen Selina and Anne in the same room together?!

:wow: You could be on to something.

I've worked as an extra on 4 movies and 5 television shows. From Disorderlies to Neccessary Roughness. Walker, Texas Ranger and Prison Break.

If your lucky you get 75 bucks if you turn in an invoice. At best you get a SAG ticket.

So who's telling the truth? My version of the story is that this is a load of bull.

:ff: :ff: :ff:

errrrrrrrrr, okay, you can believe what you want to believe,

But doubters, use your brains. You really think they would allow ANYONE who has access to a scene to just spew all the info about it online?

And also, i agree with my friend in not wanting to find out stuff before the film, don't get guys who do that. It ruins the whole fun. The anticipation is sometimes the best part.

Well, not going to try and convince you. To each his own.

But extras or rather background artistes can sometimes make a good living from doing this sort of work that pays up to a 100 a day.

I'd find it very strange if there weren't circumstances where extras had to sign confidentiality agreements. Way too many movies and shows where the big twists would involve at least an extra or two, if that were the case these things would always leak online.

They DO leak. I lived in Chicago during Begins and TDK. I knew the Joker was going to blow up a hospital. I knew that Ra's Al Ghul was a decoy.

Hell, I got spoilers from a guy I did a theater festival with. You know the crazy guy that Harvey threatens with a gun? He told me about the perma grin before anyone else did.

Hey, you've met the actor that played Thomas Schiff? That's pretty cool, I thought he gave a very great performance as a creepy fellow.

What is suspect is that things were said that we already knew and that you can already read about. Whats the purpose of this topic? To boast that you know someone thats an extra?

I was so pissed at him. We were both in a festival at the American Theater in Chicago and he was in a play written by one of my best friends. He SUCKED! Why didn't the Joker have a friend with a Texas accent so I could have gotten a part?

:D
