Days of Future Past Actors from original trilogy on First Class sequel with Days of Future Past

The characters I think are likely to return are Xavier, Magneto, Wolverine, and Storm, and I'm not as sure about any others that have been brought up (Colossus, Kitty, Iceman, Rouge). Personally, I'd like to see Beast and Colossus return as well.

Going beyond this film and continuing the franchise has got to be going through the studios head. Unless they sign the OT members for three more flicks I would think they would start to open the possibility for other/new characters to move forward. They have to keep it going unless this is it for Singer and crew, then they reboot after.

If they dont introduce some of the more time travel/alt reality characters here, then they are missing an opportunity imo. Cable and Bishop alone get mentioned in every forum on the net. Fans want to see them.

Yes, they need to consider how they want the land to lie at the end of DoFP and where they want to go next. That hasn't really happened in the past; it's been very much one film at a time.

Good point, that makes a lot of sense. I just like the thought that if the Alkali Lake incident hadn't happened then Jean wouldn't have died, Scott wouldn't have become a wreck and died(?), and Professor X wouldn't have died either. Can't wait to see how they tie all of the 60's stuff in, though.

Colossus actor is the cheapest of the franchise, so it would be the easiest to sign.

Curiously, he was part of the storyarc and Singer was the one who casted him in X2, so the chances seem high.

Other issue is if Bryan wants the character on this sequel or not. But all are strong points to count him in.

I was so amped to see Colossus in X3 after his badass X2 scene in the mansion... But then Singer left.

Now that he's back, bring on Colossus. Something I noticed was that in X2, Colossus' hair was the only part of him not covered in metal. In X3, his hair is also metallic. And weren't his eyes glowing in X2...? Maybe that's my memory messing with me. I wonder what Singer will do for DoFP if Colossus returns.

if they do decide to bring back anyone from the trilogy I suspect that the future would take place after between X1 & X2, depending on who they get back, we'll have the choice of Xavier, Magneto, Mystique, jean, Storm, Scott, Beast, or Logan you can rule out Colossus, Rogue, Iceman, Kitty because if this story is set in the 60s they were not born, so are time traveler maybe Xavier, jean, Storm, Hank or Scott

The future wont be set in the 60's, the past will.

So if the future is set between X1-X3, any x-men can be present.

1) Which ones will be already dead with their names on gravestones
2) Which characters will be killed by Sentinels
3) Which ones will not be killed by Sentinels

If DOFP will feature dead mutants that were killed by the Sentinels, I hope they won't kill Rogue, Colossus, Iceman, Storm, Wolverine, Beast, Shadowcat, Angel - so they could still use them for the future movies. And if some of those characters are gonna get killed, I don't want it happen in DOFP unless their death scene is going to have an impact like Jean Grey's death scene in X2 or Professor X's death scene in X3, then that would be great.

Minor characters in the original trilogy like Artie, Jubilee, Siryn and Leech, I wouldn't mind if they were killed.

it Bryan adresses the idea of alternate universes in this sequel, it will open the door for future sequels, so hopefully that's exactly what they have in store for the franchise since now.

In fairness, Singer had previously said he envisaged the Colossus transformation in X2 to be like a liquid metal. So there's no problem with that being carried forward into X3.

The problem with X3 Colossus is that the metal armour looked cheap and too shiny, it needed to be a dull (matte) finish and more organic looking.

Also, it makes no sense for Colossus not to have armour over his entire head, or he'd be vulnerable to attacks on top of his head! But the shiny metal effect in X3 was wrong.
