Just thought of this. After the episodes main events are wrapped up and the day is saved, Coulson will wonder how Garrett knew to target his old girlfriend that he never told him about...... and then remember he did tell Ward. And then the rest of the pieces will fall into place.

Coulson already suspects ward. In 'end of the begining' when ward shot the fake clairvoyant Thomas Nash and finding out of skye that the clairvoyant was most likely shield the first thing coulson done was ask ward straight who are you working for.

Garrett talked him into releasing ward and may from the cell, may proved herself When the balloon went up on Garrett in the subsequent fight. All Ward proved himself in doing was following orders in attempting to cripple a base they believed wrongly was compromised by hand a fight which garrett was fairly enthusiastic about also. Ward got on that plane to easy, from being in a holding cell to guarding prisoner no1.

The last episode the suggestion is coulson is stressed out of it, but the character is also portrayed as unassuming on the surface but two steps ahead underneath, could be relevant. my bet is the west texas cheerleader is a shield spy and that ward is being followed for a lot of the reasons some believe him to be a tripple agent.

Welcome aboard! yeah I'm one that thinks Ward's a Triple Agent.
I personally can't wait to see the Cellist. lol

I did think at first Ward was gonna be a triple agent (and the killings on the plane were staged), but after the last one I aint so sure.

For one, those bodies would still have been on the plane. Figure Garret would have noticed if they were not dead before they got to wherever.

2nd, he head tapped 2 guys in the Fridge with little warning to have something non lethal at the ready. Plus the night night guns leave that tell-tale blue streak thing. They don't leave blood splatters.

Also, what he is trying to achieve at this point? Finding Garrets base of operations? Done. It's in Cuba. But he has since gone on to help free a load a dangerous prisoners, gather a crap load of high tech for Hydra, and even pointed Garret to Graviton, who he knew nothing about.

So I dunno...For him to be a triple agent then Fury must have given him a bigger end game mission than we know atm. At this stage, all he is doing is helping Hydra get even stronger.

Thanks, have been a bit of a lurker for a while, had to jump in with a theory there. don't think he is a tripple, though there is very slight room for it but think its more likely that coulson at least suspects him and has something in play. The way he gave skye the phone to call Ward. Hand was meant to have that phone, to some degree it can be explained that there is an illusion that Ward and Hand may still be in each others company, but it is a high security phone meant for contact between hand and Coulson, his attitude seems a bit nonchalant, Coulson presumably did not attempt to contact her when he shut down the Hub. Could be misdirection or could not.

Yeah, I felt the same but at this point I think the ship has sailed.

The thing with Victoria still bugs me but I guess I should just ♪♫ let it goooooooo ♪♫

What if the entire season ends with no indication that you are correct, but it's not explicitly foreclosed. Is there a point when the passage of time will foreclose it for you or will you always hold on to it?

The season will definitely end with a definite confirmation one way or the other about Clairvoyant's true identity. I don't think there's any reasonable shred of doubt about that. In fact, I believe Ep. 20 will be the deciding factor: either Deathlok is getting his orders from Garrett, or he's getting orders from somewhere else. Can't get much plainer than that.

Been away for Easter weekend, and I come back on the day of a new episode!

After the last couple of weeks, this can only be a good episode. Can't wait for it. Think I'll rewatch the last 3 tonight to get ready for it :)

Deathlok may be getting his orders from Garrett, but we cant be sure that Garrett's head isn't wired the same way such that he gets his orders from someone higher up

True; but then, why would AoS make such a big deal out of someone who's essentially HYDRA middle management? I still maintain that The Clairvoyant is the head of his own particular group, that operates both within and without HYDRA and SHIELD. There's still a lot of headscratchers and non-sequiturs to definitively say that The Clairvoyant and his motives/actions are the same as Garrett's, or HYDRA's, for that matter.

Who is Hydra's upper management if Garrett is only middle management? Skull - MIA, zola - MIA, strucker - doesnt seem too fascinated by Hydra itself (similar to Garrett), Pierce - dead, zemo - not established yet. Garrett appears quite senior even though that doesnt mean he cant answer to anyone else, whoever that might be..
I am just saying that anything is possible with this show, and there might be more twists to come..

Wow that looks pretty cool. Wonder how that figures in?

I think
Blackout is going after 'The Cellist'.

Remember what Garrett said about keeping Coulson busy when freeing the prisoners?

Cut off one head, and 2 more...you know the rest, lol.

I would think Peirce was Hydra's previous 'head', but now they have been forced into the open any of their upper 'agents' could take his place in co-ordinating Hydra's efforts/goals. Garrett I would think is a senior player for them, but I also think he has been playing his own agenda as well.

This is what I believe but did they not already confirm that he was stalking her? Or am I mistaking forum theory for an interview?

At any rate the episode art would seem to point that way as well.

That why Garrett
Told Blackout "dont forget to follow your dream" wich basically means "go stalk Coulson ex, distract him please."

I think I may have to miss parts of this episode tonight.

We already had a definite confirmation several episodes ago. What, exactly, could they show that would actually convince you to give up on your "the Clairvoyant isn't the guy who actually admitted to masterminding the whole conspiracy" theories?

Yeah,it can't be more plainly communicated than the way Garrett did last episode.Garrett was the Clairvoyant all along.

How many times has The Black Widow been mentioned in this show lol
