They're not going to cancel it. The chance of that is below 10%. If anything they'll let Snyder shoot as planned (maybe shorten the shooting schedule) then delay after wrapping to bring someone else in to polish. Happens a lot. People just don't notice.
So Chronicleing JL?

Came out of the first viewing kinda displeased.

2nd viewing, I thought it was brilliant. So many people complaining about things that are explicitly stated or atleast heavily implied. Snyder the god

Found this cool concept art on Twitter as well.

Snyder say a lot of things about this film that are disturbing. Like his reasoning for why they had Superman kill Zod in Man of Steel:

The why of it for me was, well, if it’s truly an origin story, his aversion to killing is unexplained. It’s just in his DNA. And I felt like we needed him to do something—just like him putting on the glasses or going to the Daily Planet, or any of the other things that you’re sort of seeing for the first time, that you realize will then become sort of his thing.

Makes sense. Everyone knows you have to kill one or two people before it dawns on you killing is wrong.

Doomsday looks like the Rancor from Return of the Jedi. Awful. Who the hell was the ideas man on Doomsday's look?

But that's never touched on in BvS. We don't know how he feels about killing. I think we're supposed to assume he didn't like it because he screamed at the end of MoS. That's pretty shallow.
Also I know this has argument been ran into the ground (or should I say, smashed through the walls) but he legitimately killed that guy in his very first scene in the film.

I still can't get over how bad the CGI in the final battle looks for a film that got delayed for a whole damn year. That really is inexcusable.

Sometimes when the CGI is bad, you just gotta chalk it up to deadlines being put on the effects team. This had a full year to get the CGI right but it looks like a really good cut scene from a video game most of the time. At no point does any of the action in that final battle look real.

Yeah man. I think the thing that pisses me off about this movie is that they showed a whole lot of new sub plots instead of continuing the story from Man of Steel.

I don't think that it was fine of him smashing him through walls even if only saw two.
Then again he did say that he didn't kill anyone (or at least anyone on the village) later, but sincerly i now am very conflicted on what happened.

I thought the CGI on Doomsday looked pretty damn good. There were a few shots, specifically some close-ups of his face, where it looked surprisingly real.
However, the rest of the CGI t in the third act was pretty bad. The other day someone posted a side-by-side comparison of a cutscene from Injustice and the shot of Wonder Woman leaping in BvS and it really drove this point home.

I said a few weeks back that this movie would, for me, live and die by the treatment of Superman. I felt he was poorly developed in his own film and wanted something satisfying for the character to do in this one. Needless to say I was disappointed.

I'm completely fine with the tone. I just want a film that's competently edited, written etc.

Snyder failed in some of these aspects.

Exactly. The tone is fine. There are other bigger issues.
Unfortunately Wb seems to be getting the idea that simply throwing in jokes would solve the problem

Anybody expecting a different treatment for superman was naive, imo. WB has consistently shown it doesn't know how to handle that property.

This is what I've gathered from talking with numerous people and listening to numerous plot summaries because from what I can tell, no one is very clear on this scene:

Superman flew into the village to save Lois from the warlords/separatists/rebels. He dethroned them while he was there, which inadvertently helped stabilize the local government who later came in and killed the locals. The US government wants to hold Superman responsible for this since his actions indirectly caused the death of innocents. So note that Clark doesn't say to Lois, "I didn't kill anyone", he says, "I didn't kill those people", meaning, in my interpretation, he isn't responsible for the deaths that happened after he left. Which I kind of agree with.

I predicted the abysmal treatment of Superman despite the positivity police slamming me.But the truth was I so wanted to be wrong.

I wasn't.I am heartbroken at the treatment of Superman in this.Heartbroken

Remember when Metallo was rumored to be the final fight for BvS, Metallo vs the Trinity?

I'd prefer that.

No one can handle it properly. They haven't been able to get fans to agree in comics - what makes you think they will be able to do it in movies?

This. People don't understand that dark and serious films can still be fun. Mad Max was a dark film, people die in brutal ways and rape is a subject that's tackled in the film, but it was still fun. Casino Royale was a serious Bond flick, but it was loads of fun.

That's what WB needs to realize. Fun doesn't necessarily equal adding more quips and sight gags.

Yep
There is no joy at being proven right on this.None at all.

Exactly. The only reason I'm here harping on it is because no one I know personally wants to hear me complain about a superhero movie haha.

Agreed.
This is why I want Jl delayed. No amount of Jokes will save it,if it's not executed Properly.
