So is anything else going to happen in the movie story wise? Or is that it (Superman fights Zod and the female villain, works at the Daily Bugle, and travels around the world)?

Yeah, that's pretty much it, except he'll also slug it out with Spider-Man. :cwink:

it's still a mega hit. because people got the herd behaviour, they will eagerly go and watch it regardless. just like pirates series.

i hope MOS can make the people do the same.

Sure. Infact I'm wondering how a boring movie can be a box office blockbuster...

Is she confirmed to be his wife? I thought the only confirmation was that we'd get the female villain Faora, but there has been no info given about what her relationship is to Zod, specifically.

We have not gotten confirmation on Faora.

The only confirmed villain so far is Zod.

Le's hope they do better than that.

One thing I don't want to see is Zod or whomever the villain is kidnap Lois and use her to lure Superman into a kryptonite trap. Please don't do that Snyder. It's so corny and predictable.

Another thng. No camp, no Miss T or Parkey Posey types. No bumbling assistants. Humor yes, but a la TDK.

It's the stuff above that doesn't work today nd makes folks not take the movie seriously. This in part got GL in trouble. Even before the release RR had to clarfy the film wasn't a spoof or comedy - something along those lines.

i think the movie will have some nice blocbuster twist. nothing big. just something in the third act .

does it look like a normal blocbuster popcorn movieyesyes.. and its exactly what superman right now needs. no experimenting. an oldschool action packed FUN and entertaining movie. minus slow-mo shots muhahahhahaha :awesome:

Daily Bugle?

And technically we don't even know that he's going to fight Zod, travel round the world or work at the Daily Planet yet.... we know nothing of the plot.

Which BTW, in no way indicates that the movie is about nothing.

It just means they haven't told us what the story is yet :p

The scheduled release date for MOS looks problematic.

Not only will Hobbit be released w/in a week - and Hobbit may be one of the biggest grossing films ever - Wolverine 2 is shooting for a 12/12 releases. Splitting the super-hero fanbase. Wolverine did about the same WW as SR and cost lots less to make so it may also put a dent in MOS. It was awell received move so it likely can give MOS a run for the money at the box office.

What about a November holiday release for MOS? Is the December date set in stone?

Depending on the schedule Marvel is hoping to have Wolverine 2 for a December release.

If that happens I'm wondering if WB shift MOS to a month earlier release.

If they put out a very decent film, it will make money regardless of when it is released just like Iron Man did followed by the Dark Knight. One will generate more money and that is obvious but I think we are panicking too much about the December release date.

I find it amusing how some would be quick to tell you that the script is based on Birthright, that there is an Africa scene, etc.

The truth is that we don't know.

Release dates are in constant flux. I wouldn't be surprised if WB moves MOS up a month, the week after Breaking Dawn comes out.

And Fox is making Wolverine 2. Marvel Studios is not involved with the X-Men property.

i thought wolverine 1 2was a bomb?

Wolverine wasn't a bomb. It was just crap. And the sequel almost definitely will not be out next year. They only just got a director.

If they put Wolverine 2 in 12/12 then I hope you are right and they move MOS up a month. Less competition. Hobbit and Wolverine is a one-two punch that could put a big dent in MOS's potential box office.

Well if it was then so was SR.

Wolverine WW took in 374 million. Just 20 million less than SR.

Wolverine cost 150 million and SR 205 million.

Marketing expenses werless for Wolverine than SR.

Financially Wolverine was more successful than SR and certainly not a bomb.

X-Men films are traditionally summer releases and we've yet to see one move outside of that area. Wouldn't expect Wolverine 2 to be the first to do so.

Wolverine may have performed better financially, but it was not a good film by any stretch of the imagination.

True it wasn't a good film but I feel SR wasn't either.

Even if Wolverine desn't move to a December relase, the Hobbit is going to be like Transformers and Cars combined. Look how those 2 films devastated GL.

In order to give MOS a fighting chance it needs to be moved up a month IMO.

Maybe it should be moved to very late summer - that may not be practical given the post-prod schedule

Sooo... we know Russell Crowe is in the Windy City, anyone know if Amy Adams or Henry Cavill are there now?

I think Adams is in Sacramento for The Master, but I don't know where Cavill is.

TOLDJA stating what we already knew:

Warner Bros' lack of a movie panel may largely be due to the fact that the next Superman and Batman movies aren't ready to show much yet -- Man of Steel star Henry Cavill will be there, but on behalf of Relativity's Immortals (also Luke Evans, Kellan Lutz and Mickey Rourke; director Tarsem Singh is not currently expected).

WB wont release two major pictures at the same time, theyll move one. Otherwise theyd be screwing themselves.

im glad Cavill will be at comiccon, at least he'll be getting superman questions up the arse.

True, but the chances of him being able to say anything different from the answers that he's been given are still somewhat slim due to the secrecy of this film.

I wasn't quite sure where to put this, and I wasn't sure if I should create a new thread or not, but there are some new set pics that are being built in Plano, Illinois, that shows some destruction. Here is the link to the pics, but I will post a couple of them....
