I thought it was just silly tbh. Could barely understand him at times.

I will reserve judgment on whether MOS beats Nolans Batman Trilogy when we have 3 New Superman films to compare it to .
Seems only fair, talking about trilogies and all.

Other than two lines, I understood him just fine.

Not everyone is going to agree, but I didn't find anything silly about it. Bane's voice is par with Lord Humongous and Shredder in that department. It was a perfect mixture.

Tbh, I got used to it just fine in the first veiwing.

It was the second time I saw it in the cinema with my best friend and she couldn't stop laughing. She kept saying 'I'm an oooold maaaan' in a perfect bane imitation voice, and it's stuck in my head ever since :funny:

Not enough to stop me loving the film tho :)

Speaking of voices, Michael Shannon sounds completely different than Terrance Stamp. In Smallvile they tried to cast an actor with the same inflection. Shannon's voice sounds much more monotone.

This is always expected out of a Superman movie (and all DC movies.)

Yup :) And I really hope we get something like that... But it is a fine line.

It's like the end of the train scene in SM 2, or the crane's thing in TASM... That's what they were trying to do as well, and as much as I love it like a guilty pleasure (cause I have no problem with a bit of soppy cheese to an extent), TDK showed that you can take a less cheesy approach to showing the nature of the public.

Something as powerful as the end of Superman vs The Elite. Man I love that. With all the world watching, Superman gives possibly my favourite speech of all time :D

Indeed it does. He really has that unimpressed indifferent working-in-a-video-store way of talking. Should be interesting and will probably add some wellplaced deadpan'ish humor to an otherwise serious character.

Kinda disappointed they made Bane older than Bruce but The Nolans and Hardy at made him a respected AND formidable foe (unlike Schumacher and Timm/Dini). Hopefully that'll get the ball moving for Bane in the future.

The voice was outstanding during the sewer and Dagget scenes. I wish they'd stuck with that tone and filter more but I can't complain. The first draft of the prologue also had Bane's voice pitch perfect.

I'm glad they didn't cast someone to copy Terrance Stamp's voice. But they really are opposite ends of the spectrum in terms of voice.

Also speaking of voices, I wonder just how much of a change we'll get with Cavill in terms of Superman's voice as opposed to Clark. I don't expect it to be drastic.

I don't remember Superman: The Movie these days, but was Donnor's version of Zod faithful to the comics?

I'm not an expert on the comics but they're have been so many versions of Zod it's crazy. Ironically, Donner teamed up with Geoff Johns for a Zod comic book storyline many years after the movie.

I don't think they tried to cast an actor with the same inflection. I think Calum Blue put that on so he'd sound more like Terrance Stamp.

Oh, and small world -

But I think Blue had the ability to do that with his voice. I'm not sure Shannon does. Nor am I asking him too. I just thought it was ironic because when I think of Zod I think of Stamp's voice.

TBH, it's all very confusing, because when I think of Zod's voice, I also think of Jor-el's voice... cause in Smallville Jor-el is voiced by Terrance Stamp... :funny:

Yeah. On Smallville I felt like it was General Zod talking to Clark in the fortess of solitude.

Remember when you said you weren't gonna show up here until something new comes out for MoS? :oldrazz:

Michael Shannon already said he won't have a british accent in MOS.
