For example, I was wearing my Superboy shirt in composition class and a girl walks by "oh nice shirt, superman is awesome, he was always my favorite." And I responded "yep, I can't wait for the new film by Nolan". And she replied "there's a new movie coming out?" "Yep June."
I felt like a walking promo today with my MOS shirt. I wish it had the words Man of Steel June 14th on the back tbh.

exactly....not giving credit where credit is due is a bad thing

No the argument is that because the only marketing you see anywhere is mostly for IM3 and STID and other films that are MOS, that there must be something wrong with WB and marketing.

Never mind the fact that both films come out in May.

Never mind the fact that both films have their own problems to overcome - IM3 has to NOT be Avengers 2, a standalone film. And STID is trying REALLY hard to not admit its a Star Trek film, to the point of hiding Spocks ears on posters!

You could also ignore the fact that most of the new marketing is for films with a high risk of no recognition - After Earth (ONLY promoting the Smiths, not Shyamalan), or Pacific Rim (a big budget robot film that is NOT Transformers OR Michael Bay).

Finally, you could also ignore the one fact that Bryan Singer got 100% right, that the 'S' symbol is one of the most recognisable symbols in the world, and it is all that it would take to get people to take notice.


Yes, you could ignore all that...

WB seem to be very confident despite their 5 box office failures already this year.

They do have MOS, Pacific Rim and the Billion-dollar guaranteed Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug.

I don't understand being so desperate to make the film a success that one intentionally misleads people about the film... maybe that's just me.

You could ignore that that didn't seem to stop Skyfall last year. You could ignore that that didn't stop the Avengers last year.

Also how much did Singer's movie make again? And remember, I am a big fan of it.

They can still have a good year, if they play their cards correctly.

Looking at what else they have going for them, it feels like they have already spent a lot of their Hobbit profit. Gatsby is probably not going to help. Good chance that bombs as well. If Pacific Rim and MoS don't hit, their book keeper might call in sick for the rest of the year. Pacific Rim is a huge risk.
