I respect Grace, she certainly knows her stuff, she's a big comic geek but I do also disagree with her about MOS. I hope/think she will be very surprised once she sees the film.

She is nitpicking because Nolan is one of the producers. She said her Superman is the TAS one; she even said JJ abrams would make her perfect Superman movie, lol. I respect her opinion, but her arguments are weak.

Grace's critiques suggest, to me at least, that she also is not a fan of some of the great Superman comics such as Birthright, All Star superman etc.

The Animated Series Superman is my Superman as well and I think that Abrams could make a good Superman film. And yet I still think MOS is going to be awesome.

Yeah i'm sorry I got a minute in and just got annoyed. Why does her opinion matter again? Is she popular for some reason?

Like alot of youtube personalities/"celebrities" she's mostly popular cause she's doing it, doing it often and in a way, doing "it" well enough.

Abrams is great, but he'd have to deal with my hatred towards that flyby fiasco.

STAS is pretty cool lest for it's biggest flaw imo. A somewhat personality Superman/Clark. I can't be the only one that noticed this...right? Especially on JLA. Something was missing. Maybe I just read too many Morrison books.

What's hilarious is that Man of Steel is clearly influenced by Flyby concepts.

Speaking of STAS, I loved it as a kid. I grew up on that series and the Reeves films. I even got a STAS vibe watching the trailer. I know alot of people don't like how Timm de-powered Superman, some think Bruce didn't ( doesn't) understand the character. But i loved the animated series.
And speaking about Grace, all i can say is, if she wasn't impressed by the new trailer, i don't think anything from the film will impress her.

The Animated Series version is definitely my favourite in action i.e. TV, Film, Animation etc but I think Man of Steel may just take that crown come June.

I think the film will surprise her. Alot of things she's said to be wanting are probably in the film(bright mid west for example), but just not in what WB's is cutting for their marketing.

Also she said the trailer didn't have enough action. She maybe right, she may not be.

I do love how she has crazy eyes when she's reading.

Personally I don't mind certain changes whats the point in making the story predictable by doing the same things the same way again.

STAS was decent. the whole cartoon style was invented for batman in the 90's after Burtons movie. it worked 100% perfected. i dont think it works for other heroes. i disagree with the style for the whole DC universe.

in the 90's i watched everything from superman. STAS,superboy,Lois & Clark. i liked everything. i was entertained. so many superman shows and no movei in the 90's. hahaha funny

She is entitled to her opinion completely, but she has been on an anti WB/DC tirade for a couple of years now. Just go through her archives for GL, TDKR and every single MoS review - starting from the TDKR teaser, to the first trailer to Zod's message and now this.

I will be more than happy with over a 7/10. I don't need perfection, just a really good time at the movies.

I don't mind the genetic manipulation, but I hope that isn't the reason Jor-El sends Kal-El to Earth. Some have theorized that he sent him away to save him from Zod who was tasked with eliminating him for being conceived illegally.
