Heres one of his best acting gigs a scene from a tv to give a sense how he could act:

That fan film Superman Requiem is available to view:

I have to say I know its a fan film but its really bad, Superman is way too skinny and the actings so bad its actually funny. But credot to the guys for trying.

When I first heard about this fan made movie project to make a feature length motion picture, I thought that it may turn out to be decent although no one expected to see big budget CGI effects.

The story they had showed Superman after losing his super powers for 90 % (approx.) of time.

But the choice of actors for the role of Superman and Lois lane is terrible, I mean they are very average looking. The movie posters on their site are really bad, I have seen Much better fan made posters here.

she isn't lois lane. i think she looks kinda pretty in the movie.

the guy playing superman is decent too. just bad makeup and cheap costume.

the story is original too. and manage to connect to the previous movies well...

my complaint will be... they make superman a no brainer again...

i just don't understand why film makers / people can't give superman a brain to think...

hope superman can have a brain in MOS... sigh...

Ugly ****in thing!

I dont get projects like this. I dont give a poop about good intensions and possible good story-lines. If they're really fans cant they see how big a ridicule this is?

They should've focused on just doing a trailer, but I guess budget is just a small factor in this particular case.

Only good thing about this is the original score. It's pretty desent actually.

Otherwise this gets a big :down from me.

I saw a teaser for a fan film that used the Returns suit on superman home page the actors did not speak English does anyone remember or know about this one the quality looked a lot better I would like to see it again

Maybe you are referring to Japanese car advertisement Toyota Prius starring Matthew Bomer as Superman, he was wearing the SR suit.

He also screen tested for MOS, apparently he was in the last six list of potential candidates along with Cavill.

Totally agree, I don't want to slate a fan film but it was just awful.

Bomer didn't screentest for THIS Superman project along with Cavill, it was the first one (McG's). In the same interview where Bomer talks about Amy Adams being his reader for Lois Lane (before she was a successful actress herself), he mentions that he didn't even have time to try out for MOS this time thanks to his White Collar schedule.

I could've sworn Bomer was at least considered for MOS, along with JoeM, Matthew Goode and Armie Hammer.

Under consideration as a name on paper, sure, but I doubt it went beyond that since he claims he never actually tried out for it due to his White Collar schedule. And before anyone says "well he's probably just saying that to save face," he said it in the exact same interview where he admitted he DID try out for the previous film twice.

Well that, and Bomer actually got to play the character and wear the suit somewhat for those Toyota Commercials.

Foreign Box Office: 'Immortals' Slays 'Tintin' to Take No. 1 Slot Abroad

WB must be smiling for choosing Henry Cavill.

I thought Cavill lost the last superman project when Singer*the destroyer, came along. How could Bomer have been Ratners favorite?

In the end, it's just interesting to know that whether it be Bomer, Cavill, or Routh; all three of them had auditioned for the role several times during the period where the project was being directed by a different person.

I have heard a rumor that Routh even tried for Smallville, but Tom Welling got that role.

Anyway all three of them auditioned / were on Studio's list multiple times for Superman, that goes to show that they really wanted that role, as Routh got his chance, now it is Cavill's turn.

Just goes to show how lucky we are right now, that everything fell into place so neatly.

With Cavill, it is exactly the right time, with IMO exactly the right kind of director to bring out the best in him, and a script that will hopefully allow him to show the best of Superman too.

Bomer was Ratner's favorite. Cavill was McG's pick.

ah thanks.

Thank goodness Cavill didn't get stuck with the Returns production. The fallout to his big break would have been similar to Routh's all things being equal.

In better news, hearing The Man of Steel is coming together really well.

With how everything has gone so far, this is a prime case of serendipity. Out of all the various Superman productions that have come and gone, I genuinely feel like MOS has the best package thus far. It's amazing how a production like this would have never happened at all without SR.

Who's the guy who said it and how does he know?

Well it's filmNerdJamie, you know some guy on that website :woot: ;)

Btw, i can't extrapolate, but i hear from well placed source that the script is now top notch :)
