Robocop was 90 minutes and is an excellent film with near perfect pacing, and practically no fat. And some films can support 2 and a half hours but maybe MOS isn't one of those films?
Absolutely. The last 10 pages has alot of discontent for the runtime though, so that's something.

Well I think the film order wld go like this

Starts with Kryptonian Prologue(Kal-el is sent to earth but Krypton does not explode yet)
Movie then jumps 25 yrs later where it properly starts.

The 1st half will consist of
1.Bearded Clark wandering the country with Lois on on his tails.Flashbacks fill in the blanks about his smallville years
2.War on Krypton- which will be happening around the same-time as Clarks journey.

The 1st half of the movie will conclude with Kryptons destruction due to the war and Zods escape to earth,.It will also conclude with Clark finding the Fotress.

2nd half of the movie covers Zods invasion.Clark is Superman throughout this half.

I don't see how the Walmart thing is supposed to help word of mouth with just the one day before June 14th. Wouldn't all the professional reviews be out by then? And most pre-order tickets already bought? Make it early June or sth.

Not that I was ever disappointed but your reminders here have helped greed subside.

Yeah, I'm just as greedy as any other fan and that's okay because we have been waiting a long time for this, we want as much content as we can get. Totally understandable. However, any criticism that MoS' pacing or plotting will suffer with that runtime is ridiculous. Let's all just admit that we are greedy fans and stop it with the bullcrap arguments that a 130 minute runtime in and of itself will objectively harm the film. :oldrazz:

*If the script is overly ambitious for such a length, then perhaps we will have a problem, but we need to see the movie to know.

I'm just speculating but maybe there's a break in the action after the Black Zone escape. Maybe Clark goes to Metropolis and forms a secret identity now that he's a wanted man. After all, there were those set photos in Chicago from behind the Hyatt hotel and it looked like Clark was in his Daily Planet attire with papers blown around.

If you are suggesting that Krypton is destroyed at the same time that Clark is travelling the world, I have to strongly disagree based on what we have seen. Everything suggests that all of the Krypton events happen over a relatively short time period. All shot of Zod on Krypton while both armoured and while captured depict him as clean shaven and younger. Zod looks a good 20some years older when he arrives on Earth. I suspect the time in between is spent searching the galaxy for Kal-El or a home or whatever.

 Like I said before on the other hand the runtime has actually put me at ease that Snyder has resisted the temptation to get lost in Krypton and whatnot. It's going to be very tightly paced.

IM3 which I just saw was 130 mins and it was the perfect length. I understand why people here expecting TDK or TDKR length are a bit let down though. I'd love to have this film be that long too. But not if it doesn't need to be.

Oh yeah. I think we all completely forgot about the shots of what looked like Daily Planet Clark in Metropolis along with everyone else when **** goes to hell. That completely contradicts the dominant theory of Metropolis Clark not showing up until the end of the film.

Pretty sure that it is Zod. I think I can see a goatee here:

...looks like he's gettin the cape punched out of him... ( no cape)

This is definitely true. I actually think there's something we're missing regarding the flow of this film. We assume that from the fortress Clark steps out and flies straight to Smallville to save his adoptive mother. But then why would be be taking his time walking in Alaska before his big takeoff. It could be he gets started working in Metropolis after this.

Everyone seems convinced that the end of the film will be Clark putting on his glasses in the elevator. Good to keep our minds open I guess.

Yeah, my response was along much of the same lines. The only thing that doesn't make the most sense then is Supes and Lois' interaction during interview scene. I mean if she tracks Clark down to Alaska, knows his secret, and then he shows up at her place of work with glasses, one would figure they would have to have become allies at that point or at least know where each other stands when the interrogation occurs presumabky later in the film. However, Lois' interrogation of Supes, while flirty, does seem to have a sense of skepticism to it. The way that a girl sometimes grills a guy who seems too good to be true on a first date. She seems interested, but is trying not to be taken advantage of...

Hmm. It gets confusing though thinking about it. Does Lois find him in Alaska and speak to him or is the interrogation scene the first time they talk?

If that's the case. And Superman takes on the Clark Kent disguised persona in Metropolis it would seem he interacts with her at the Daily Planet first. Before the battle of Smallville and before he turns himself into the military.

I'm thinking she must see him find interact with him before he becomes Superman and when he's still trying to find himself. Encourages him to step out of the shadows and offers him a job at the Daily Planet. And her talking to him in the interrogation room is more her commenting on his 'new look' which she hasn't seen before. 'What's the 'S' stand for?'

Could be, her seeming skepticism during the interview could also be due to the appearance of the other Kryptonians. Although she believed in him before, maybe the appearance of similar beings who use their powers in a destructive manner makes Lois a bit more wary of Supes despite being stil being really attracted to him.

Yeah definitely. I think if Snyder's directed it right everyone will be frazzled by how messed up Smallville got. Looking at those set pics again. Destruction everywhere. I'd like to see that fear and uncertainty portrayed by Colonel Hardy, Lois, Prof. Hamilton, the rest of the military, Smallville citizens, etc.

Not to bothered about midnight screenings, yeah the atmosphere is great enough (but not by much, UK audiences aren't usually loud) but it's not like I can't wait a couple of hours for the first showing :funny:

I have to bloody wait til June 15th cause my future sister in law is getting married on that day. God its annoying I don't even like her.

Ahh maybe right but I can't really see it on my tiny phone lol

I really don't think he'll put on the glasses until the end of the film. Ever since I first saw that shot of him putting on the glasses I've pretty much been convinced it'l be the final shot of the film.

I do think that it would be convenient though if they're gonna do JL as MOS 2 as they might never have to address the whole glasses disguise thing.

There've been 2 reports about what the Fotress is-One is that it is a scout ship of Jorel and another is that it is a ship left on earth by Kryptonian pioneers.Of the two i feel Jorel ship is more likely due to the fact it clearly is an House of El ship bearing Jorels suit and responds to Jorels key.Which do you think it is?

MOS on display at Walmart (in spoilers because it's a big picture):

There is a doge pick-up nose down in the Kent kitchen. - LOL. Just started reading the Empire article. Man, it's a big one. There are 3 more pics inside but they are from the first trailer, well not exactly from it, but from the same scenes (Jor and Lara holding Kal, CK on fire and Costner with young CK by the truck).
