I'm kind of surprised though that they haven't confirmed that Zod and Faora aren't alone, let alone on confirming on whether the rumors/theories about them having a robot army at their disposal is true as well.

Yeah suppose but they've been pretty secretive so far about the whole thing so doesn't surprise me. Its a bit strange but Zod's lackeys have mostly been seen in pics from Krypton but I do think they're in that one shot from the trailer when you see inside Zod's ship looking over Metroplis, also I'm pretty sure one of them is who Superman lays two punches into at the end of Trailer 3.

Go to Internet Explorer and paste the link in the address field. For some reason it's not working in other browsers but IE.....

I'm on my mobile and this link worked for me, thanks. There's a link to download the MoS app there, but my device isn't compatible. Perhaps because I'm not in the US. Hopefully it'll contain some good stuff though.

True. What's also interesting is that the two other prisoners that were seen behind Zod in the latest trailer didn't have any type of emblems present on their chests as oppose to Zod and Faora. I wonder if that means anything?

In any case, when it comes to the supposed confirmed running time of this film, I will admit that I am kind of disappointed since I was really hoping for a 2 Hour and 20 Minutes film.

Sure pacing is everything, but I wouldn't have mind (provided that it would be done right) some extra time to build up the relationships between characters, antagonistic and friendly and to give more depth.

Hell, I'd like some extra time explored regarding Krypton's civil war and as a fan of the Clark and Lois relationship, more time for them as well. If anything, it seems like a majority of their interactions will take place starting from when he turns himself into the military's custody.

Are you in the UK? Its crap tbh cause you need to scan barcodes for certain items but they're stuff you buy in the US

Argh just got back from seeing IM3 and no MOS trailer. Just F&F6, WWZ, and STID. Very frustrating. I guess STID is my best hope.

IM3 was fantastic though. I hope MOS can top it.

I know it really god damn sucks.

It really does. Makes me wish I was a bigger Marvel Studios fan. We seem to get all of those movies before they come out in the US, but when it comes to DC films (it was the same with TDKR last year) they are annoyingly tight about when we get it :(

Not to bothered about midnight screenings, yeah the atmosphere is great enough (but not by much, UK audiences aren't usually loud) but it's not like I can't wait a couple of hours for the first showing :funny:

Pretty sure that it is Zod. I think I can see a goatee here:

The runtime is definitely a downer. The trailer just makes it look like such a bigger film.

Like has been said on here I think the second half of the film, every scene is just going to keep leading into the next, Smallville fight, Army detention, Black Zero, Metropolis fight. And there'll be no real lull to pace things back and then have to work to build up the next scene. It'll just keep bleeding into the next.

I was worried that Snyder was perhaps going to get too weighed down by alot of the Krypton and Clark's early years. But I guess this is a sign that it's very economically done which is a good thing.

This is going to be a very tight narrative and I hope to enjoy every 2:10 hrs of it.

Yep UK-er! Now I wish Walmart had successfully rebranded Asda over here a few years back :p

Yeah... I can't :p

I was wondering if they were going to use the Fist down pic. lol It was being saved for Walmart. haha

I know one thing... The next theatrical Poster/Banners better be Wicked! :woot:

Yeah... I can't :p

Well, we Canadians are stuck in the same boat. They usually treat us the same for release dates and the purpose of box office accounting numbers, but for some reason we are left out of the WalMart promotion. At least you Brits know you are going to get screwed based on past experience. Not Fair!

:exp:

How is the runtime a downer? I find that movies are too long now because they don't have the material to support these expanded runtimes. I actually thought that TDK as great as it was ran 10-15 minutes too long. And all of the Transformers movies are at least 30-40 minutes longer than they should be.

A well paced script is the key anyway not an extra 30 minutes tacked on just because that is a trend.

For TDKR it was a little different because, I went to the BFI imax so we had batman begins and TDK to watch in IMAX format to fill in the time before we could get to TDKR, it was a little tiring at the end of it all but it was worth it :funny:

Yep, people are forgetting that classic adventure epics like Raiders of the Lost Ark and The Empire Strikes Back only clocked in at 115 and 129 minutes respectively. They both had pretty epic scope and I don't think anyone would say they were rushed.

Just speculating...

...But if Snyder was speaking in the context of MOS being his “director’s cut,” perhaps the 2:10 refers to the effective runtime for the story - and not total runtime including end-credits. So that would have to be factored in if one is comparing it to other movies.

I just want more film! The longer the better for me!

That said my anticipation for this film hasn't wavered. It's gonna be 2:10hrs of awesomeness!

Robocop was 90 minutes and is an excellent film with near perfect pacing, and practically no fat. And some films can support 2 and a half hours but maybe MOS isn't one of those films?

T2 is too long. T2. :funny:

And you you do realize that there is plenty of Krypton in the trailer right? Just like STM.
T2 was exceptional in one respect: outstanding special effects for movie of that time period, 1991. Although the pacing was for most part o.k., it was definitey too long. What made T2 work was the good characterisation of T1000 by Robert Patrick. It was a very good film but it was no masterpiece.

The masterpiece was the original Terminator. When it first came out it was packed with raw suspense and terror. The reveal of the the exo- skeleton rising from burning wreakage was one of the finest piece of cinema magic - I still remember the audible gasp from the audience. All of this was packed in at 107 mins. Similar things can be said of the original Alien at 117 mins.

Unless it is an event film, it's best to keep the run time within 2 hours.

As for the Krypton scenes, you'll be surprised at how much can be packed in 10 to 20 minutes. Superman TM's Krypton scenes from the end of opening credit to the planet exploding was about 15 minutes. So I don't know what the problem will be! :yay:

Not that I was ever disappointed but your reminders here have helped greed subside.
