Which trailer are all those new GIF's from!? Link please!?

The mystery of what happens to the other Kryptonians during the Metropolis battle, let alone on how Superman and Lois manage to escape from their captivity in Black Zero is intriguing for me.

someone said Superman used heat vision on a large bug. Where did they see that at?? All I see is Superman blasting Zod while he is holding that red support beam

I'm excited to see the emotinal interactions between Zod and Jor-EL.

well, last time i checked, people cant really fly :(, so, CGI is a necessary evil in movies such as these
Nolan is so playing. :woot:

Though I think it is fair to say I have seen better CGI doubles.

I wouldn't use the games and Clone Wars as proof. Heck I wouldn't even use the books since The New Jedi Order ended at this point. Though there are some gems in the comics and some of the older books (Shadows of Mindor is the only recent book that truly gets me going) that are great examples of where the SW story could be taken.

And before Lucas could rip off Japanese film, he had to rip off Frank Herbert. :hehe:

Clone Wars is awesome!
As for the games I don't play, one look at the cut scenes and you can see a much more capable direction than in the films. Sadly this is evident in almost every modern game adaptation.

What scripts? One of the major problems with IM2 was there was no script. They filmed IM without a completed script. A lot of improv. You need to be thanking RDJ.
Fav was hot **** coming off that first film. Sadly he and his made for films like Elf direction, were not the reasons I enjoyed it.

For better or worse Zack is going to bring "something" very measurable to the script in this movie.

Those cgi doubles will not be as apparent for people watching the film for the first time in the theater.

imo.

I just hope the keep zods doubles in that armor suit, it helps.

When Clone Wars focused on Anakin, Obi-Wan and the Jedi not named Ahsoka, it was awesome. Sadly it didn't do it often enough.

IM felt a bit manufactured. Kinda of as if it came off a conveyor belt, but I still really like it. MoS doesn't feel like that. Not at all. The visuals are so unique, while being quite well executed for the most part.

Just saw a Purina Dog Chow commercial talking about superheros with a kid wearing a blue shirt and a red cape running around the yard with his dog...

I have never said that he is the greatest visual filmmaker there has ever, ever been and I have not seen one post proclaiming that.

I get it you aren't fond him but I am.

While I won't say Snyder's the greatest visual filmmaker ever, he's definitely one of the best of the current era.

I haven't seen Dawn of the Dead in years so I can't properly rate it. But I loved 300 and Watchmen. Haven't seen Sucker Punch. Heard from a friend who has that it's visually amazing, but weak plot wise.

Why don't the cgi doubles have Henry's real face and expression imposed on a cgi body ? I know the shot is from behind but I was just thinking how when cgi doubles are used, why not superimpose the actors face on ? It would look more realistic than a waxy obviously fake face :o

Those cheap bastards!

And oh yeah Starman posting the dates when Adams appears on the talk shows is neat because I didn't know the dates.
Look at Harry Potter. WB got real witches and wizards for that. Treating Superman like a second class citizen. It is a disgrace.

That is exactly what I think they are doing. Smart move imo.

I've been a Snyder fan ever since I saw Dawn of the Dead on dvd. I loved all of his works but Sucker Punch... which I've been meaning to watch the directors cut. I heard it's a little better.

Not sure on the face thing, though superimposed shots usually look even worse imo. I think the biggest throw off is the suit texture and hair. An unnatural sheen. Just hard to get.

Yes, "one of the best of the current era" is a perfect way to describe his skills.

Like, I'm not a fan of Ridley Scott but it would be a lie for me not to admit that visually his films are outstanding. You don't have to like a director overall to admit that they have good skills in certain areas.
