I love this shot of Superman, it's like he's saying "It's alright. Everything will be OK."

But anyway, I'm starting to be more and more convinced that this will be the best superhero movie of all time-at least as far as origins go. It seems like the writers have taken their time to give character dynamics to a wide amount of people, yet the film seems like it will be Superman-centric in nature. Combine that with great visuals and action, a rousing score by Hans Zimmer, and what appears to be the best actor since Reeve for the part, and I think we just might have hit that high point of superhero movies. Sure, I might be setting myself up for unobtainable hype, but it looks to be the most emotional and spectacular superhero movie yet.

I love any shot where he's smiling. It means this Superman will not spend the entire movie brooding, just some of it :D

Another review. Pretty sure this one is 100% legit.

THE MAN OF STEEL 8.5/10

This movie was pretty awesome. Not perfect, but fans of Superman will be happy. The best part of the movie is Harry Cavill, who plays Cal Kent/Superman. He's great because he conveys the right amount of strength that is needed.

Also really great are Russell Crowe as Jor-El and Timothy Olyphant as General Zod. The latter is much more fearsome than he is on Justified, so kudos to him for creating a completely different character. He doesn't really even look the same. Noomi Rapace also does a great job as Ursa.

Amy Adams, Kevin Kline and Diane Lane and Rachel Weisz are all a bit disappointing. They all do what's asked of them but it unfortunately isn't much. It's okay though because the movie is clearly a characters study of Superman and in that sense it really works. Morpheus is awesome as Perry White though.

All in all, it's Zack Snyder's best film.

Clark will probably be brooding when he isn't able to understand his calling in life. As for Superman, he shouldn't be smiling when innocent people are about to die. Besides, there's that shot of Superman laughing with excitement as he flies :)

:lmao: That dude's totally parodying those fake reviews.

Now that I think of it I think Timothy Olyphant would've been quite good as Zod

Did anyone else notice that Jorel colors on his suit under the amour are exactly the same colors as Superman. So does that mean Jorel has two under suits? I have seen him in darker under suits.

^ I read somewhere that Superman's costume is Kryptonian underwear. And in the case of Jor-El, it might be the lighting.

Zing! My face literally just fell off! Had to post from my phone that was so awesome!

The A.I. Jor-El is the one that has the black-ish undersuit, whereas the alive Jor-El wears the coloured suit. I wonder why the A.I. one has the black suit...

Also...
Lois Lane pretty much knows who Superman is...I wonder if she's responsible for Clark Kent's arrival in the Daily Planet.

'What can I say, I get writers block when i'm not wearing a flak jacket'

:D

That footage was awesome!

Pure Lois Lane right there. I couldn't help but smile at that line. Reminded me a bit of Dana Delany. :woot:

Another of my fave shots so far :) I also love the ones with his chin up, chest out standing proud... he just looks so much like Superman in those shots :)

Yeah, I may have squealed a little :D

I'm not reading Show's or anyone else's review until I see the film. That being said, I hope you enjoy the movie Showtime.
