Cars, A Bug's Life, and Brave... all Pixar movies I wasn't crazy about.

Yeah since when did 70/100 equate to not liking a movie?
It's because of how that site scores things ... a 70 = 2/4 stars which is a C at best.

70/100 on metacritic would be 2 1/2 to 3 stars

In my list of reviewers who will rate the movie lower the dumb one on the checklist has been checklisted. Next up are

1. People who genuinly dislike cbm
2. Those who like story more than action
3. Fans of superman returns
4. Marvel fans to the core
5. Superman haters

I still expect mos to end up between 80-90 on rt scale

Dude, do you even logic...? You're arguing about reviewers hating MoS BEFORE you've even watched the film. On a scale from 1-10, this makes -9000 and under amount of sense.

Not sure if serious.

I'm definitely serious. Didn't like it! I would rather watch Finding Nemo straight over and over again for hours on end. Which if you lived in my house you would know that's a normal occurrence anyway, than watch UP.

Agreeeeed!

He should try to avoid creating the carnage. But each death should have impact. If someone gets crushed, we should feel it. If some bystander gets burnt, we would want the same to be inflicted upon those Krptonians.

To be honest, the most emotionally gripping action scenes in the Marvel verse is when Captain America and Iron Man are trying to get retribution for what was stolen from the world.

I want a non-deadly equivalent for Superman.

Its totally expected and almost 100 percent predictable that biases will
Come into play inferior reviewers not good reviewers

Lol, I loved Superman Returns, and I think this movie will be better myself.

My parents let me watch A Nightmare on Elm Street and Robocop when I was a kid and I turned out....well, I haven't killed anyone!

Cars is decent. Wasn't Sly in a bugs life? Or was that Ants? And I enjoyed Brave but only watched it once when it was in the theaters. That was part of our double feature day where we watched Brave first then Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter.

What makes me laugh is the story more than action bit. That's me.
However, I think the bulk of building a great story is bringing to life great characters, and building a strong internal reality. MOS seems to do that.

See! My youngest daughter begged for the full Nightmare on Elm Street series and watches them religiously. Maybe I am a bad parent but my kids know that fiction is fiction. I get nasty looks from parents all the time when I take my kids into PG-13 and yes R rated movies. :whatever:

I could watch Nemo over and over again too but Up is easily top 3 Pixar movies imo

The biggest irony of it all is that you're showing extreme bias to the point where you believe that MoS will only do well and will not have any flaws or criticism whatsoever, and secondly, you still haven't watched the film to make a clear and concise judgment.

Agree to a certain extent but when you are super-powered and fighting super-powered villains collateral damage is almost assured. But I agree with you in saying that we as the audience should feel what Superman feels and want retribution for the victims! That and I just wanna see Superman kick some bad guys teeth in!!

I remember when I was a kid and my parents would let me stay home alone I would raid the stash of R rated movies

That's perfectly fine. You're only a bad parent if you make your kids sit through something they don't want to for whatever reason (bored, scared etc.)

To each their own ;) In all honesty you really can't go wrong with the Pixar movies. It's good fun for the whole family, but like I said I just prefer some over others! Oh and Cars 2 was dreadful! Forgot about that one!

Yep, as long as the kid can handle it whocares? I did have some terrible dreams about Freddy though.

Movies are one of their things. I was the annoying one behind you who had their children in the theater when they were babies!:wow:

I still have bad dreams about Chucky! Wont let my kids watch those. Had a my buddy doll when I was a kid. After watching the 1st Child's Play he was confined to my closet. In truth he always looked kinda shady though, so he probably deserved it!

Yeah, Sly was in Antz.

I've only seen Brave once as well. Same with Cars, but I think I liked Cars more.

Agreed with everything. Good points. No death or casualty should feel 'weightless' in this movie.

Someone brought a baby into Furious 6.

My kids rarely cried and if they did we left. It was hard finding a baby sitter sometimes. Being in the military we were never close to any of my family or my wife's.
